Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

I tried a U-turn today, and it was very easy indeed. I slowly understanding how to drive this car better. So hopefully, I should drive well in a couple of weeks, right in time for my DL test. [:D]

Also, I checked my VIN today, and it looks like it was definitely manufactured in August this year.

Are the LED's gonna be DRL's or will they replace the main headlamps?

Good luck for your DL test!

The LED DRLs are somewhat going to be like the photo below.

I've already replaced the position lights with LEDs. Still have to change the brake, reverse, indicator and number plate lights.

Not planning on changing the headlamp assembly as of yet.

Oh man, that looks so sweet! How much does that cost?

In fact, how much would it cost to change all those to LEDs?
It's quite expensive. Hence I'm buying it slowly piece by piece. Around 2k for everything. Excluding the DRL. But worth the price. Been using it on my SX4 since 2 years. Has never failed. I still have to find out how to procure the DRL. [:)]

Accessories ... Rain visor ...LED

I got fitted few mandatory accessories including rain visor in my car and must say that I did not like the look of the car with rain visor fitted. The car already gives castrophobic feeling and with visor on, that makes the window even smaller affecting visibility and looks.

Anyone who shares the same experience or happy car owner with visor or who opted without it?

And what about LED... I am finding very nice when it is put around fog lamp. My question is how to switch it on or is it installed in such a way that it is lit when engine is on?

It is connected to ACC so that it's always switched on. Another wire is connected to parking light so when parking light is switched on the DRL switches off.

2k doesn't seem to expensive to me. Where are you buying all of this? Also, are you getting them installed at the same place or by your dealer?

Does an usb charger go into 12v socket easily or we need to do something to make the 12v socket usable?

I imported them. [:)] Installed them myself so no installation charges. I don't think dealer has such accessories. The 2k does not include the LED indicators also. Found out later as I bought them separately. Only 4 indicator bulbs cost around 2k. I went for the Amber color and not white. It's more visible during daytime and keeps the look original. Brighter than the halogen ones.

How did you installed in your car, please post some photo of the car. I contacted the dealer they told that they cannot fix the led at the border as the fog lamps holders are there to hold the fog lamps. please post some pictures so that i can ask the dealer to fix like that.

I've not got the DRLs as of yet. The fog lamp holder itself has to be changed. You cannot add on to the current set of fog lamps. You get a new set of holders with built in LEDs. It's not available in India as of yet.
