This is correct, close all the doors and the key is outside the car wait for minute the car auto-locks itself.
When the vehicle is on if the key goes out there will be immediate continues beep till the key comes back inside the car.

In the manual key, one step down, only engine is off, two step down engine plus music etc would be off, one more step down to lock the steering ...if I am not mistaken.

I have done this but you have to be quick. Car is in neutral, engine running no clutch pap pap on start/stop button and your stereo/BT will continue working without interruption.
Also when the engine stops the AC stops working as well. Its just the blower blowing.

This also happened to me this morning. I think I was outside for less than a minute though. Probably 30 seconds. Gonna experiment again tomorrow.

It is surprising that the auto lock feature works when one closes all door and leaves with the key however hyundai left out the auto lock feature when the car starts moving! even the wagon r has it!

Agreed, and I'm sure Hyundai can fix it with a software upgrade.
It's debatable whether the name Grand was need to this car or not. Because basic features like below are missing.
1, No auto car locking when the vehicle starts moving.
2, No auto climate control.
3, No alloy on the stepney.
4, Missing fuel consumed per KM info.
5, ABS and Airbags only in high end model and that too optional.
6, Keyless entry has its advantages and disadvantages as well.
7, AC performance below average during summer.
8, No 60 - 40 back seat folding. (Not a deal breaker for some)

They cost me 3k. Installed them in a place in jayanagar. PM me for more details. [:)]

Tried this again, and it didn't lock ever after 1 minute. I must be doing something wrong. :S

BTW, what area is that taken in? Jayanagar 7th block by any chance?

Yeah. It won't match the color of your car.

Hello friends .how are u .today while reversing my car got stuck with an activa.and three four scratches appeared on it.guys sugesst me wat should i do as my car is just 10 days old.should i go for touching or go for scratch removing pen.are these pen are effective.please its my request to reply with your suggestions friends.

Can you please post some pictures then we can suggest based on how deep the scratches are.
