Got burning smell once when going up on a steep incline. Starting from stalled. After that car seems running well, no issue it seems. Is it clutch of which got the burning smell? Can it be a serious issue in future?

The burning smell has came from clutch. Not a serious issue if this happens once in a while. For steep inclines please use handbrake instead of doing half clutch.

Grand i10 behaves great in hills and ascents, don't hesitate to put it in 1st cog when you feel you are loosing the power.

My 2.5 year old Grand i10's AC is not cooling as it used to earlier. Slowly it is decreasing its cooling power since las 6 months. The chill is no longer there. The air filter was replaced as part of the 3rd service earlier this year. I had the car checked again at the HASS a few days back, they did some gas recharge and carbon deposit cleaning. The issue still remains, and they had asked to again visit them to have the dashboard opened and work on the AC unit. Don't have much technical knowledge about this.
Are the other owners facing this issue? HASS was saying they could replace the evaporator if the issue still remains however it is not covered under warranty.

Do you have extended warranty ? If yes then they can't deny warranty on evap.
I had to change my old i10's evap every year such pathetic quality.
Do you hear a hissing sound when you turn on the ac ? If they did a gas recharge and it didn't work then most probably there is a leak in the evap. Dont pay if you have extended warranty.

Yes, I do have extended warranty. No. I don't hear any major hissing sound. Just the normal airflow sound and as i increase the levels, it gets louder, which I guess is normal. It's just that the air is not very cold even after running more than 30 mins.

It can be the compressor then. I inquired evap warranty from Toyota and ford and both include this part under extended warranty. Keep us updated.

Has anyone yet replaced batteries on the remote key? Yesterday, I was unable to start the car while waiting at a traffic signal. The immobilizer light was being displayed only. After several attempts of hitting the start/stop button, the car started finally. Is it because the battery of the key has become weak?

I did replace batteries on both remotes after roughly 2 years. Found the range of remote decreasing. Replacing batteries is very easy and took like a minute to do it, just using a small flat head screwdriver open the remote and replace it with CR 2032. Batteries cost Rs. 60/-

Hi Folks,
My 2 month old Hyundai Grand i10's AC has suddenly stopped working and giving out warm air from the blower. In fact it started with the blower not blowing too much air even if kept on 2 & 3 and then suddenly stopped working at all. What could have gone wrong?

Is the temperature knob set to cool (blue, not red) and the air flow set to the first option (inside circulation of air instead of outside air)?
