I had the exact same issue and took it to HASS - they just cleaned the alternator thoroughly and problem was resolved. It took hardly 30 minutes to do so. Service Advisor suggested the problem to have been caused by dust getting accumulated on points of contact at alternator's connections. Although I was not very convinced by his diagnosis, but the solution worked out just fine.[:)]
Thank you!! I too shall take it to a HASS and this issue fixed. Glad to know it is not a big issue as I thought it was. [:)]

Dear Phukan,
As the headlight bulbs shown in the link are H4, they can be retrofitted directly to the stock headlights.
The stock headlights bulbs are H4 60/55 Watts.

PS:-Can anybody please mention the specifications of the fog lamps of Grand i10
I need to change the fog lights to white lamps with the headlight bulbs.
Thanks.

Will the H4 will provide white colour? What is meant by retrofitted?
H4 is the specification of the bulb it has nothing to do with color of the light emitted by it.
H4 is a type of halogen bulb, which has filaments for both low-beam and hi-beam integrated in one single bulb.
Color of the light emitted by a bulb is dependent upon the temp of the color, AFAIK 4500K to 6000K color temperature will emit a whitish light and anything below that would emit a yellowish light.
Retro-fitment is to add (a component or accessory) to something that did not have it when manufactured.

Got my Hyundai Grand i10 service at ASC. It was the 2nd free service and the charges were around 2400/-. Oil/Oil filter replacement, throttle body cleaning, Wheel balancing/rotation/alignment, air filter and ac filter cleaning was carried out. Not much difference was observed after the service in the car. [confused]

There was no need for throttle body cleaning and did you ask for wheel alignment? do that from local shops if you want to save money. Can you upload the bill here ?

I got the unexceptional mileage of 18.91 with my grand i10 (petrol). This is the second time the car has given such a mileage on highway. Its almost same as the company figures. [clap]
How did you check the mileage @supercharger. I think this is not possible for petrol grand i10 as the fuel flow is always on even when coasting in gear (2.1 liter/ hour) which should be a lesser value like 0.3- 0.4 liter/ hour. I do own the grand i10 petrol and have found this after using the ELM327.

Althoughon highway I have tried driving @ 120 km/h and then putting the car in neutral till the car decelerates to speed of 90 km/h and the fuel cuts-off completely .i.e 0 liter/ hour. Don't know why did Hyundai not implemented DFCO and what is implemented is done when u drive car in neutral above 90 km/h.

Did a 250 Kms, To and Fro Visit from Surat to Vapi.
Drove constantly at 80-85 Km/Hr, the car delivered 22.9 Km/ltr fuel efficiency.
The efficiency was recorded on torque app through ELM 327 OBD-II device.
The MPG trim set to 1.15.

Hi pal,
22.9 km/l [surprise], looks impossibly impossible. I guess, Hyundai put a diesel engine under the hood.
IMHO, I don't think there's need of setting the mpg trim to 1.15. I do calculation on the basis of trip km divided by fuel used for the trip.

I also purchased this few days back. Just couldn't find time to install it.
Yes, this is compatible but you need to open the tail light assembly and connect/ solder the 3 wires coming from this LED light to the correct connectors of the bulbs in place.

Did they told you that they are going to perform throttle body cleaning, wheel balancing etc. ? Which ASC in pune did you approached?

The car becomes smooth and silent after service (oil change), secondly these hyundai guys keeps on changing clutch bite point at every service. I came to know it as i stalled it many times while coming out of ASC [glasses]

I was told each and everything they were going to perform. The car had little engine vibration problem, so they performed the throttle body cleaning free of charge.
Allhyundaicars - Ishanya Hyundai has the alignment machine and operator from a well known tyre shop, kind of contract. I did it from the ASC has it was a free service and the alignment record it kept so that no issues are created while warranty and all. I will upload the bill soon.

I have checked the mileage with the tank full method. Same petrol pump, auto cut off and same booth were used. This was done twice and the mileage was concluded.
I have ordered an ELM327 v2, it is yet to reach me, will keep you posted about the mileage.
DFCO has not been implemented in grand i10 for sure otherwise it would have been more bang for your bucks. [;)]. I know many grand i10 (petrol) owners who receive a good mielage like 20 to 22 km/li. [clap]

Hi All,

I am hearing this noise from under the hood of my grand i10. I am not able to isolate the cause for this noise. Can you help me out here ?

I have recorded a video of the same and here is the link.

https://youtu.be/bVktaUwq0mU

THis noise doesn't come when engine is started. IT appears after engine is running for some time (10-20 mins). It can be heard only when in neutral and at idle RPM.

Thanks for all the help !
