Here are the actual pictures. They are under the body so not visible from outside. You have look down to see them or look bit visible from slight distance at bottom.

Thanks for sharing the pics. You got scratches and dents and why don't you take to HASS to see if there is any underbody damage and if it is just a dent you can rectify it from your insurance and if you are concerned about the NCB cost next year of insurance, then if the cost is less, then you can repair through HASS

I dont think this is correct. OEM Horn is 10A and the Hella Horn that i got is 16A, so relay is needed i guess.
The horn that I have is a Roots Windtone type horn. Costs around INR650. I'm quite positive the power consumption is 5A. The car electricals permit horn upto 10A without fixing a relay (ref. the image attached) If the OEM horn (as you say) requires 10A (single electric horn) then the Roots Windtone horn will fit perfectly without any harm to electricals as it requires only 5A.

Sorry Sir.

As I am newbie I am not aware what is HASS and NCB???[confused]

Can you help me little bit with it so I can be aware in future. I think if I will color that part it wont be visible. What would it cost if I will color that area for metallic one.

Thanking You for your prompt reply.

I am also a newbie here trying to learn many things and this is one such wonderful forum where you can learn many things.

HASS stands for Hyundai Authorised Service Stations.

NCB stands for No Claim Bonus. Hope it must a new car of yours and assuming it to be less than a year old. If that's the case, visit Hyundai Service and assess the damage. If the damage is less and cost is affordable for you, then instead of claiming insurance, you can pay from your pocket as it will save money on the long run. Insurance companies reduce your car insurance rate every year if you don't claim from them and so proposed insurance amount for the first year would be more and for the second year onwards must be less if you don't claim. This is awarded as an bonus called as NCB and for the second year, the insurance amount will get reduced. In case if you claim, you won't be awarded this.

If the damage is severe, please claim from the insurance.

Oh thanks man. You have given me relief by explaining all these. Its a minor one. I was thinking the same to not to claim and just color that portion so claiming matter will be resolved.

I have purchased car before a week only and yet to go for RTO passing.

Thanking You bro. Keep in touch.[:)]

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Does adding relay more than the default amps void warranty ? Is it good or adviceable to change horns ( as local mechanic might not be aware of airbags sensors or wires if any ) and he might tamper the airbags sensors / wires ?
Hi Kbase

A relay amplifies the signal of a horn or a light. (horn and light relays). Usually relays are fixed to help provide optimum power required by the horn or light bulb. I don't really know if there is an adverse effect of adding a relay for horn purposes but I do think there would be wire cutting to fix the relay which may void the warranty on your car's electricals. Sticking to the prescribed amperes would be the best option. The fuse box is located under the hood on the right side. On opening the cover of the fuse box and flipping it you'll see a sort of a map for the electricals with the prescribed amperes. A horn has 10A prescribed to it and most "skoda type" horns fall below 10A. I have a roots windtone horn that requires only 5A and is quite loud and has a good tone to it. A good mechanic or car accessory shop would know how to fix a custom horn without cutting the wires. They have some kind of connectors where they don't need to cut the wire but make a slit and connect them. That's how i have it in my car. I got it done from driven which is a popular car accessory shop in Delhi. They knew their stuff.

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation (all posts of yours are with clear and detailed explanations )

My concern is with related to Airbags ( sensors or wires ) which might get affected and also whether adding dual horns/ horns more than the prescribed amps voids warranty or not and also on the long run it drains battery or not compared with the stock horn.

There is a specific wire that goes the the OEM horn. The mechanic will remove that OEM horn from the coupler (as the connection is coupler to coupler), mount the custom horn in place of the OEM horn and fix the wires of the custom horn to the wire that was connected to the OEM horn but not through coupler but by some special connector that connects the wires and lets the current pass through them without cutting the wire. For this you would have to get it fixed from a well known mechanic or car accessory shop. Since the custom horn would only be connected to the wire that goes to the OEM horn i don't think there are chances of him cutting or damaging any other wire with respect to sensors or airbags or any other electronics on the car. I was nervous too while getting the horn fixed but my guy did a very clean and professional job. Since the custom horn will be under 10A it will not drain battery on the long run. Its been a year and almost 2 months with my car with the custom horn fit and no issues faced by me whatsoever including the much talked about battery draining problem.

The battery may face some problems in the long run if a horn that requires higher power than prescribed for the car is fit. Before buying any custom horn make sure its below 10A and you should be fine.

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Hello everyone,

This happened on a fine Sunday early morning exactly at 2:00 am, I was traveling to my hometown via NH 17.While trying to over take a truck my car busted on a divider, which was invisible to me. It was really low on the road and no reflector was in place. Thankfully, everyone in the car was wearing seat belts including my 5-year-old son so nobody was injured. My car is now 7 months old and around 4000Km now.

The car has been taken to the nearest Hyundai service station. I was told that it would take some time. Since I am claiming the insurance don’t think that I will have to put much money. But the service manager could not tell exactly how much it will cost. I was told that will have to replace the lower arm, bumper, engine guard, cross bumper, gear cable, fuel line etc. Does anybody know how much it will cost? Also, is there any problem with grand i10 parts availability?

Just procured the DRL for grand i10. Looks awesome! As bright as the i20's. Will post some night shots later.
Hi

Had a question regarding your procurement of the drls. Did you have to pay any customs charges? Was the shipping experience satisfactory?

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

Guys, I have booked my grand i10 asta (o) petrol. As per the current deal, i have got free insurance and basic accessories as freebies like mats, ganesha idol, perfume, car cover. I am trying to get a good discount on the seat cover and if possible on spare alloy.
Is there anything else you guys could suggest

Hi

You have to pay custom duties. It's unavoidable. I have an agent for handling since i import regularly. I've been happy with the way they've shipped the item.
