Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

I think Verna is doing pretty good everywhere. I am not very sure of Nagpur, but here in Rourkela, Orissa, its pretty easy to spot the New Verna.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

What is the bulb specification of the fog lamps in the Verna Fluidic ?
(P.S. - The main bulb specification are 12V 55/60W P43t)
Any idea of foglamps ??? Needed urgently !
Thanks and cheers !
Please refer to your vehicle's ownership manual. It must be having the mention of that somewhere.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

New Verna is a nice car but i wish to see a flat bonnet on it like Toyota Corolla or New Ford fiesta. I hate those lines on the hood. It looks similar to 120. A new car should completely a new car. I always prefer variety designs and outstanding looks on road.

From rear Verna gets good road presence (merc C class look) but front view is quiet disappointing, maybe due to it's similarity to i20.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

I have a Verna Fluidic 1.6 CRDi SX(O). Amazing car,good features for the price,elegant looking,nice drive (power+comfort).
There are a couple of things which I don't like in the car and would like to upgrade :
(1) The LIGHTS - Would like to upgrade to Philips Diamond Vision 5000 K bulbs and also upgrade the fog lamps to 4300 K or 5000 K lamps..
(2) The HORN - Would like to upgrade to a Hella Black Trumpet (Skoda type) horn.. Car stock-horn is very low and not enough for the bad city traffic as well as for expressways.

Now, I have already asked this question(given a post) about this issue for the auto-enthusiasts/auto-experts to help me out on this one...(because I am a quite an amatuer in car upgrades).I have finally decided I will go for these two upgrades and my doubt is will my warranty period of the car get expired if I get these fitted ? What if I tell the Showroom guys to tell their mechanics to fit the Philips bulbs and the Hella Horn?? I guess then the warranty period stays intact as I have not let any mechanic of any outside garage touch the car... (And yes, the mechanics of the Hyundai showroom will do a better job I guess ! And I really don't want any unknown mechanic to meddle with the electrics of the car)......
Waiting for your advice
Thanks and cheers !

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Hello verna, I think they will not cancel the Car warranty completely. They will not provide warranty for headlamps, fog lamps and Horn. For other things they will provide. But any other original company electronic equipment is affected becoz of your additional fittings then they will not provide warranty for that i think so. Anyhow I fitted xenon headlamps and many additional fittings but my dealer provided the warranty. Buy the extended warranty if available in your zone.

Since your car is brand new, you will have to abide by what your dealer says. In most of the cases the warranty gets void if such after market accessories are installed (especially electrical). The only thing you can do is, ask your dealer if he will fit the mentioned accessories at the dealership.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

It is clearly mentioned in the USER MANUAL of the New Hyundai Verna Fluidic that there are "REAR FOG LAMPS" in the car. Where is the switch in the car to turn them on ? I asked the dealer(sales executive who was incharge) but he had no clue....
I have the top-end model - 1.6 CRDi SX(O)
It mentions in the manual that the vehicle has REAR FOG LAMPS (bulb specifications-PR21W).

P.S. The dealer from where I have bought the Car has HORRIBLE service !!!! they have no clue about the car, any of the features, how the MID(Multi Info Display) works, and some sales executives who are in charge of the verna don't even know to the extent how to start the car using the push button Start/Stop !!!!! [surprise][shock]
After reading the manual, I learnt some of the features, reading the review of THE AUTOMOTIVE INDIA helped and fiddling here and there with the car too ;) How can I take this issue up with Hyundai India ?? What am I supposed to do if (god forbid) there is any technical snag in my car ??? !!!!
thanks and cheers !!

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Such poor service by the hyundai dealer to the extent that when i asked them does the front centre armrest have storage space... Answer is a sweet "no sir" !!
I got to know about the storage space of the front centre armrest from the detailed review of the verna given by one of our helpful members here in the forum !! :)
now isn't that wierd that you sell a car of you have not the least of an idea ??? Hahahaha
now , would like to take that up with hyundai india (customer care) for sure !!

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Looks like your dealer is very pathetic with poor sales executive. You can try mailing the customer care stating your experiences. And also i think you will be getting a call too ask about the experience with the car so far , you can complain that time too.

Glad to know that our review was useful to you , i think Akash will be able to guide you with the switch for rear fog lamps.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Hi Akash , first of all I must thank you for the detailed review you have given of the New Hyundai Verna Fluidic. It was an extremely detailed and thorough review taking in view all the aspects of the car :) Keep up the great work and looking forward for more such detailed reviews from you....
I had a doubt about the car which none of the sales executives at the dealership could tell me.. See, in the Owner's Manual of the car, it is clearly mentioned about the rear fog-lamps of the car and the wattage of the bulbs ( along with the specification and wattage of all the other electricals in the car , Pg 10-2 towards the end).... But the sales executives keep on insisting that there is no rear fog-lamp in the vehicle.... [frustration]
Do you have any idea where is the switch of the rear fog lamp of the car ???
And hey , thanks... I got to know about the storage space under the front-centre arm rests from your detailed review :) !!!
The sales guys kept on insisting that there was no storage space under the front arm-rest ...[frustration]

Thanks and cheers !

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

Which Horn sounds the closest/most similar to the " SKODA OCTAVIA " horn ??
(1) HELLA BLACK TRUMPET HORN
(2) BOSCH SYMPHONY HORN
(3) ROOTS WINDTONE HORN

I AM CONFUSED !!! [confused][frustration]
And badly need some expert advise from you guys !! I want the exact Skoda-type horn.... Sounds Amazing, soothing and yet loud....
And yes, is a relay required for any of these above horns to be fitted ?? All of them are 12 V ,6 Amps (Max)....

I have done so much research about horns, I AM FED-UP !!! All this because I LOVE MY CAR

Please continue your accessory discussions in the thread which you created earlier. I have also replied to it (in reference to Skoda-type horns). Please check: http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...s-horn-replacement-hyundai-verna-fluidic.html

Now one thing is that the INDIAN version Verna may really not have the rear fog lamps , the rear fog lamps maybe there for the European versions. But the manual is common for all variants. I say this because even in my Verna's manual its mentioned rear fog lamps but my car does not have it.

Re: Hyundai Fluidic Verna Road Test Review

yeah... you may be right !! most of the car manufacturers make one USER manual for ALL the variants for one model of a car for ALL the countries it is marketed in :)
