speak to a senior say sales manager ask him the status of the car. he will check the systems, as soon as the car is invoiced(after productions and tests) the chassis number will be put up and when it leaves the factory the truck number as well as transporters contact number will be up. dealers call the factory or transporters to check the location of the truck. these containers are tracked at certain check points like certain appointed fuel stations or restraunts/ dhabas the transporters never give the truck drivers mobile number.
it takes a day to produce the car. to cut my long story short my order was placed on the 16th of september car was manufactured on 19th september on 20th september it was invoiced and i got my chassis number and it was ready to be trucked but there was an issue with the transport people and it left the factory on 25th. i know it takes a day or 2 from chennai to here. so from third day every morning i kept visiting the dealership and checking on 28th the truck had passed bangalore. on 29th morning when i check the dealership there was a miscommunication which said the truck was passing maharashtra border. but at noon my truck reached. at the same time another truck which left on 20th reached, reason for delay highway robbery stole somethings and beat the drivers.
and these container break down at time.
had been through all this, just think your car will come in february first week, cause if it comes earlier you will be happy and if you think by next week an it won't you will be terribly upset just like i was
