Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

After lot of thinking, waiting, debating, reading the reviews for almost 6 months booked a ANV 1.6 Crdi SX Carbon Grey yesterday. The Ex Showroom price Kolkata is 9,58,254, 0% Depreciation Insurance 39,251 ( Normal Insurance was 32,2258), Road Tax and Registration Charges 44,500 so its Rs 10,42,005 OTR Kolkata. Didn't get any freebies just said will give a free teflon coating thats it.

Booked the car from Muksesh Hyundai who said waiting period was 3-4 months, on the other hand Spring Hyundai said waiting period for a Diesel Variant is approximately 10 months and they not taking any more booking as of now . The booking process went pretty smoothly already had a talk to a sales representative told him we are on our way and he was just waiting for us even after the official closing time which was 7.30 pm. We reached approximately at 7.45 pm the sales guy told us about all the features of the car. Dad wanted to book SX(0) which came as a shock to me as I thought he won't even book SX. I wanted to take White color but dad was against Black, White And Purple, so we went for Carbon Grey, which was my second choice. Paid a booking amount of 50,000 and left with a smile on the face. Not even 24 hrs. has passed and I am getting impatient  don't know how will these 3 months going to cross till then will stay hooked to Nickandre thread.

yesterday went city. almost 60 km drive. when coming back , had severe neck pain. i find seats are not as comfortable as in my OHC. not good for long drive or spending 2-3 hours in city traffic. it's pain in neck.

@neil: You have to get neck rest. I mean not the normal one which nick is having in his car. It will be round neck rest which fits our neck perfectly. I had the neck pain as you are getting. After that neck rest installation, I feel more comfortable now!

ya i think i have to buy one.
can you post link or photo of the round neck rest you are telling
so i wont get the wrong one.

Thanks

ya diesel power is impressive but only on highway.. in city you cant push the car as petrol variant can do. as you wont be able to push it above 2k rpm.
At 1750 rpm turbo kicks in with a whistle sound like in BMW and vovlo buses. I like that sound. It gives me a feel like i am driving something powerful. :stupid:
but from 1750 to 2000 rpm turbo is not much powerful. may be it's because of VGT [thinking] and you wont feel the thrust..
The 260 nm kicks at 2000 rpm.
In first gear you cant push it above 2k. feels like screwing the car.and if you do so there will be a wheelspin and car wont go in straight line in beginning.
In 2nd gear , turbo is most powerful especially after 2k. even in 3rd gear it pushes the car. but in 4th and 5th gears it weakens and it is least in 6th you will get the same feeling of driving petrol car in 6th.
Engine noise is present but ignorable. No vibration felt in car.

The tall gear ratio is annoying in city traffic. have to change gears frequently.
So in my opinion diesel variant is more towards the highway then city.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

congrats amit the wait seems long but time flies like crazy. the sx(O) in carbon grey is a killer theres a sx(O) purple in the next building guys find mine looks way better. By the way teflon coating is just a bunch of bull they promised me that and i saw them wiping the car with some gel which made it shine alot in 10 minutes they did that and said sir teflon coating done.

havent had any neck pain as yet but lower back pain, i guess we need getting used to it. now i feel weird sitting in my aveo or listening to its engine noise. Dont feel like sitting in it any more. Planning a trip to pune this weekend and then putting the verna in for service next sunday. And then go to the vkool guys and upgrade it and do a polycoat paint protection and find some good matts

kpaaz if you havent booked a number for your car then you dont have a permanent number you get that at time of registering your car. I assume you were thinking that the engine and vin number is what you said.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

@neil: Here is the neck support I said. It gives more comfort while driving. [thumbsup]

Edit: For the back seats this neck support will not be suitable in verna. This is only for front seats. If you want for the back seats then you have to put what nick is having in his car.

Car Seat Neck Pillow
