hey no issue with the car, but its not suiting my style,all the days i was using SUVs,Both pajero and fortuner,and i got back pain too

No offence, but just a observation that,there are ones who are desperate for the car and not getting it (awaiting delivery from dealers and tolerating their what not..) and then ones who have it and want to sell it and not getting people to buy it. i booked fluidic verna 1.6 sx (o) on 9th september. Have got a tentative delivery date of 1st Jan 2012. Whats the waiting in other states? Or have i got a false commitment. I can read people stating 8-10 months waiting for the diesel one.

Yes thats true. As per my dealer, they have stopped bookings of Verna as the backlog has increased a lot. Hyundai is controlling every allocation of the car. They too are surprised at such an over whelming response. This just goes on to prove every owner of Fluidic or would be owner is elite. :)

thats to long. Normally dealers quote a longer wait period and they provide the car faster.
sometimes dealers say longer durations to create marketing hype. my dealership has a sign saying 10 months waiting. But every alternate day i see 2 containers unloading which will have 4 vernas in it. so you can imagine. Sometime they use this to earn money on premiums fro faster deliveries

i know how the wait feels just be patient you may get it well before new year as sometimes there are cancellations and maybe productions may speed up

More than the tall gearing its the turbo lag which kills the in gear acceleration figures of Verna. But if you get used to proper shifting in Verna , none of the cars in this segment can even come close to Verna!

Anybody will drive from 20 with 3rd gear? I used to start the vehicle only from 2nd gear not 1st gear for 0 - 100 and it did in 10.5 secs as they had mentioned. If shifting is done as the shift indicator shows in verna then it can be the 1st. Once I tested that with 40 KM in 4 gear but verna shift indicator shown to down the gear to 3rd. Correct shifting makes the verna riding to Rocket riding!
