Re: New Hyundai Verna Fluidic 1.6 VTVT

Aristo me and nick face a weird scenario, Nick had a genuine engine oil issue and for me it 99% core city driving i wouldn't have minded if i got around the 10 ish mark which i was getting till now.

I have to check on BP post that will have a better view. Infact my friend who got his SXO VTVT around the same time as me and from the same dealer he is getting around the 12 ish mark. Although his driving is not entirely city based.

Either ways verna is a very fuel sensitive car.

Re: New Hyundai Verna Fluidic 1.6 VTVT

any engine would be taxed in city driving, due to frequent temperature changes.
most guys say cars which spend most of their time on highways have better life spans.
If you find your oil not dark then leave it like that, just try out bp petrol and if you wish add in some ows fuel system cleaner, just to get rid of any dirt some impure fuel may have done.
My case i don't know who to point fingers at, when i picked up the car its oil was yellow, as i crossed 800km it started turning dark and levels were dropping. By the time i changed at 5000km its level was half an inch below f mark. The showroom guys just ignore my questions of how the oil turned thick. they were even reluctant to change my oil so early. But then thats how they are, love to void warranties and earn big bucks.
luckily in these 2 months i haven't visited the showroom once.
Bazookas case may not be the same but since i benefited by the oil change have been advising him the same. I know how it feels when another similar model in the same city gives higher fes then yours.

and i have 2 questions :\

i used my viper with water+ wind shield solution the service center guys put in the wind shield water. like waxpol glass cleaner.

after it started raining i saw water beading on the glass[surprise]

you can see in the picture.

its pretty unusual that water is not flowing down in the wiper sweep region, it should flow down which is also know as water beading. You can use a sachet of any hair shampoo into that windshield wash reservoir, or take tobacco and rub it on your windscreen will help water to flow down easily.
whenever i wash my car water never remains, i do use my wiper everyday to clean the windscreen, as the roads are very dusty here.

mud could be due to the useless mud guards

the car was stationary , i was not having any problem's while driving. the wipers worked perfectly. this seemed odd to me that's why i uploaded.

useless mud guards , that's what i was thinking :P the mud is present at the both sides.

the mud guard is for protecting the parts of the car and not the dirt. [lol]

yeah but the ratio of problematic vs no issues are still low.
bullock carts[thumbswink]
and when you go buy a verna the dealer says " you get free mud flaps, matting."
i saw a verna on display with mud flaps and asked him is this for delivery?" he says no its display car came yesterday from factory.
asked him if mud flaps are free how its come from factory, he changes topics then.
