Nice job done Singh. my cousin is having a blue color with LPG and when I drove it in LPG I felt the pick up issue initially but after it takes the speed then there is no issue.

I have not felt any complaint about shocks so far and never felt to change the tyres.

Yes on LPG you will have pickup issues in starting. But once you gain momentum everything works fine. But if you have to overtake someone than you might have to shift down in some cases.

The reason why i said to change the tires is that if you put a fatter tire than you can handle potholes with ease, atleast the small ones which otherwise you can't with a thinner tire (one on EON).

Also the other advantage of putting a fatter tire is that the steering wheel becomes a bit heavier which is works in favor for Hyundai cars[;)].

What model are you looking to buy?

And i think you should go for the dealer accessories.

I have a question regarding the fuel economy of Eon:

A week back I filled full tank (approx 32 ltrs) in my eon and all the 8 lights of fuel indicator were lit up. After this I drove around 180 kms and currently only 4 lights in the fuel indicator are lit up that means half tank has been consumed. Now based on this calculations I am only getting 11.25 kmpl.

Is this normal? I mean the whole 180 kms were driven in normal nagpur city traffic conditions with 90% ac on.

Is there any problem with the FE? Also let me remind you my current ODO reading is 2500 kms and I have only completed my first service couple of months back.

Sir, same I feel with my sparky too. Actually speaking I never had any major difference between LPG and petrol. even if it is there it should be negligible, that could be the reason I don't find anything. Even overtaking I do only with LPG.

The above list is very good while comparing with the cash back offer. and also since he is fixing it by himself you may not get any warrenty issues. But pls check the quality of the products. He should not just have product for nam ke vas.

To my knowledge and based on my expereince with my sparky and with those digital indications, you can not calculate FE based on that indication. It will be always better to find thru either of the following methods

  • Tank full to tank full method
  • Auto Cut off method
  • if you have reserve warning (Fuel Low Warning), reserve to reserve.

An update with my brothers Eon.

Today I drove it for a bit long distance in bit bad roads to my native(70km) my observations are as follows

1. Driving seat comfort is good
2. Gear shift is very easy and compact
3. There jerks in 3rd gear especially while driving it on LPG as it looses out the power for a while and again picks up which was little annoying to me.
4. After driving a diesel car regularly, I felt this car as small toy
5. Ride comfort is not good in path holes and bad roads as it transfers everything to our body.

Hi Sir,

We have booked EON ERA+ for 3.7 on road with all accessories.

Today I went to showroom. Eon was there with all accessories fitted on it.
1. Genuine Seat Covers
2. Local Music System
3. Matting was good.
4. Central Locking system (even the sales guy didnt knew the brand of it.)

The thing I wanted is the wheel cover (attached)

The sales guy denied for it.[anger]
But I want it for my EON.How much I have to pay more & does it fits on ERA+ model?[confused]

+100 to your observations Gurrala. Except the 3 point but i can understand why as you drove it on LPG.

And i totally accept your 4th point. Now imagine me driving the EON after driving my DRACO[lol]. But than again this is the best quality i like about this car when i am driving in city traffic in Moradabad.

And regarding the ride comfort on pot holes and bad road the only option one has is to go for a fatter tire but then again it will reduce the jerks not entirely eliminate them.

If you are getting it from Hyundai it should be autocop (alarm system). Secondly did you try your local market for the accessories. You can get these kind of wheel caps from after market shops as well. Just search and at an affordable price as well.

Yes, I understand how it would be after driving a XUV when you take out this small devil. It is more good for the city drive than a long drive.

I forget to mention something when it is loaded with 5 people, it scraps the speed breakers very easily as I have a bit careless driving of Ritz.

I drove a Alto 800 in similar roads and it never scrapped at any speed breaker, but again the exterior looks EON wins !![:)]

How is the front seat legroom overall for driving and how are the pedals and are they easy to operate etc?

Does the gear lever vibrate? How do you find acceleration during overtaking etc?

Yes gear liver vibrates a little in 3rd, but manageable as I concentrated more on the road than the gear lever
Over taking while on LPG sucks, but on petrol it is good

Hello Sir, I see you have installed 6 inch speakers, while the showroom has strictly suggested 5 1/4 inch ones. Its there in manual as well. I have already bought 6 inch speakers and was planning to return it. Kindly advice. Also please post pics of speaker enclosure. Also is there any way to install rear speakers without using parcel tray? There is no provision?

Thanks in advance
