FZS, just 3 year old and only 8800km done and its max speed 94km ?? and what it means when you mentioned it as under-powered, can you please explain this

8800 km do not have time to drive, most journeys to shop etc.

underpowered mean that engine not in the same class as suspension or rest of the bike, front fork and rear mono shoke can do well for bike with 300cc engine.

As of speed, I feel it is affected by turbulence, especially if there is a windy condition, kind of unsafe feel close to 95 kmh. Perhaps it is common for many naked bikes.

When I was 13-14 year old, I started riding Bajaj scooter.Now I realized the power of 2 stroke engine.I purchased first bike in 2002 Caliber chroma used for 4 years then got Pulsar in 2006 Oct and sold it in 2011 Nov. In 2011 Nov I got it Karizma ZMR.

Till now longest a day trip was around 500 KM in a day. Maximum speed I attained is 132 KMPH on Karizma and 115 on Pulsar.

I have done many trip during Engg. In my college almost everyone had bikes.

Owned a Bullet electra 350 for a year. I liked the bike, but something dint feel right. So sold it. BUT now I realize, something actually doesnt feel right. I should have kept the bike.

NOW waiting for Triumph to launch its Street triple in India, before I take a dip again.

Yeah. It was my best. There are people who do Bangalore_Mysore_Bangalore or 400+ KM on a single day

I do not cycle much on main road because of the pollution and the way people shout us to get out of the roads. (Even if i wear 'Go green' Tees).

Well, you got to hold your ground! I have stood in front of a BMTC bus at a red light and not give him way till the lights turned green...and I was on a cycle!! "Go Green" tees is not going to cut any ice in this country. I'd rather wear "Make em see red" tees!! Sorry for going

Didn't ride Yezdi after I got a job in Pune. My father dismantled the bike and stored the part on terrace. Now I managed to get the Engine to Pune. I am planning to get the remaining parts transported to Pune, so that I can start with the rebuild. I use my 220 daily.

When I was 15 i used to ride bajaj m-50( my cousin's)
My first bike Rx-100 1989-2001 (later It's modified)
Next RD-350 ( for 6 months) due to some external pressure i have to sold it
TVS-victor (for 3 Years)
HH-passion (2 years)
Honda Activa (2006- still now) My wife using it
Due to some back-pain i stopped riding two wheelers
But now I am planning to have one...
I am 6 feet and still have some back-pain, daily usage 10 km, weekend it may extend to 50km..

Thanks Visran, I really like the TAI forum as everyone is welcome here to share their experiences, unlike some other forum for which even registration is tougher than getting into IIMs. I'll definitely post my rebuild process on TAI.

Here are the links that I had posted on a bikes forum a couple of years ago. This was when I was in college. All work was done by me at home except painting and chrome and took 3 months to complete.
After the build I was left with no money to change the tires. Currently the bike is in a real sorry state. I feel really sad as it is very close to my heart.

One of the picture below is in use by a Yezdi forum on Orkut.
