I used to clean windshield with normal tooth paste. Apply small amount of paste on windshield , sprinkle some water on it. Rub it in circular motion using sponge.
You can feel the difference.

I do not wash my car myself. But car wash guy is there. He use to wash my car 4 times weekly with include 2 time interior cleaning. He charge me 400 per month (soon it is going to be revised).

Sometime if he see car is really bad after rain he dose not mind washing it immediately apart from his 4 time quota.

Re: Do you wash your Car ?

Ahhh... Thats quite far for me, I stay in Banaswadi.

I have Car Wash Stations near my place which charges around 200 for body wash and 300 for full wash. However, I find Ford's wash & polish is much better compared to these local ones. They charge a bit high Rs. 400+ but, worth that money.

I am going to try the Super Service Station in Kammanahalli today. Let's see how it is.
Yesterday, I gave my car to Metro Ford in Lingarajapuram for a full wash. Very well done for a bill of Rs. 337. I don't find it any better with other local service stations which also equally or charge more than this amount. Express Car Wash is pathetic for the cost, not recommendable at all. Yet to try Carspa or Sparkle etc. to comment on those.

As I generally do it myself, giving it out for wash is very rare.

When I was getting seat cover installed, the guy suggested that never get your car pressure washed apart from MSS, there may be chance of damage of electric wiring

Since i wash my alto by my own and wax it properly,I don't usually go to the service station though its only 3kms from my home (Trinity motors industrial town) should ask my service station for the charges to wash my alto, if its <300 bucks then its better to give it for service station only. Moreover the car is used rarely except on the weekends.

He's just bluffing, you should alert him to wash it carefully that's all. You think M.S.S can give better servicing?

you have to apply the right amount of pressure [;)] it's not that easy to use the machine. have seen some guys doing a work on their BMW , they only marred the look [lol]

waxing can be easily done with hands. i wax my car in 30-45 minutes.

Same here it takes approx 30 minutes to Wax my car.

One question to the users .. Has anyone tried the Orange cloth that we get on the traffic signals. I bought one and find that it has excellent water absorbing properties but I find one issue with it and that is it leaves colour when you wash it ....has anyone had any experience on the same.

I prefer suing my white undergarment (VIP Banain) for both cleaning and buffing the car though ..

Also has anyone tried the Motor Max Paint Sealant I am looking for some good sealant to apply before Waxing my car.

yeah you have to soak the cloth and remove all the color before using it. That cloth is only good for dry purpose. use it only for dusting. Get microfibre cloth to wash and dry the car.
Don't know about paint sealent.

Mate if you really want to take good care of the car you have to think all this. Normal cloth scratches the paint and the paint gets dull over the time. Its bound to happen in india with the amount of dust and all. No car can remain swirl marks free [:D] but still when i wash i don't use normal cloth but microfibre.
