@Akash, no bro nothing like that. its just the rising fuel costs that is putting the Prius in contention. Plus Prius is just same price as civic here. a bit more but still not too exorbitantly priced as India.

@Loboprashanth- bro rising fuel prices. other option is camry hybrid but that is tooo expensive. its a nice car and it looks very decent so its a complete package.

these three recent pics at my cousin's house.first pic also has his Merc in. and also his silver camry at the edge. That camry has done 270,000 kms yet it is tight as a drum! i think it can do another 200,000 kms.

Civic is undoubtedly the best we have had from Honda till date. I too have extensively driven it here for many a long trips. Sturdy to say the least.

my dad doesnt like to push nowadays. max he touched was 134. mom on the other hand touches 150-160 without fail on airport runs.

BTW, car has done close to 79000 kms now. really going well. really love the way it revs. and after like 3.5K RPM, the surge is still so satisfying!

UPDATE:

The car is going great guns. But too many scratches on the exterior. like uncountable. I dont even know how these scratches are coming. everytime i was the car i see tons of new ones.

Car still revvs to redline eagerly and boy its such a screamer!

Yes, indeed the rubber beading can be replaced. It will definitely lessen the outer noise intruding the cabin. The same is available at Honda dealership in a set.
