first of all your thread is very nice and understandable also very helpful for beginners appreciate and request to continue
Thank you :)
when was the first pad change and when was the second one.
First was changed around 23k kms and the second set was changed around 58k kms

How much is the brake pad ? .
First set of pads was 1800 and the next set was 2200

I am surprised. I paid 3200 for brake pad change in My city recently. How come Amaze pads are costlier. And I got them changed at 40k when they still have around 5k life left.
First lot of amaze was having issues with premature brake pad wear. My first set of pads lasted 23k kms and the cost of pads were 1800. Then they've changed the brake pad material composition and now the pads cost around 2200 and will last around 40k kms. Both time during the brake pad change me too had excessive amount of brake pad left and the svc neglected to continue with it. Don't know why.

Many owners use city brake pads in Amaze as per svc guys to get better brake pad life [:)]

Then I consider myself lucky.. I have covered 54K kms till date and still using the stock pads. But I think its time now that I change. I can feel the wear of the pads and the sqeeking sound sometimes. Its instances like these that make me doubt if I sould get the brake pads replaced at the ASS or aftermarket.(I dont think I will be lucky everytime)

Each time the car goes for service, the ASS guys press for brake lubrication and disk skimming to which I politely disagree. I got it done just once at 20K kms when my brother took the car for service and agreed for it. I prefer taking the car to a local mechanic every 10-20K kms and getting the disks and pads rubbed with some special kind of sand paper to remove carbon deposits.. and it costs just rs 100 :)

Hi aravindn20,
Those alloys and chrome handles looks perfect and up-class. Can you please tell me from which shop you get it done in Cochin . I am looking for some good shop for alloy wheels and some mods. BTW your wheel size upgrade looks perfect. can you tell me what is the upgraded size.
Sorry for the late reply. Got the chrome handles online. You can get it off amazon.in where I can see its priced some 550/-. It was the same autopearl one which I got 2 years back. You can fit it yourself. Just need some concentration and good lighting. [:D]
Btw, I was running on the stock tyre. The wheel I upgraded to, although has the same radius, ie 14" looked kinda beefed up as it protrudes slightly outwards. So whichever tyre is on it, looks a bit wider on the first look.

I did upgrade my tyres to Michelin XM2 185/65 R14 at 29.5K kms last month. The roads here is Kerala are pathetic, and could only manage close to 30k on stock Goodyear tyres. Now the new tyres has almost covered up my wheel arches and ground clearance has increased. Tyre noise has reduced drastically, and most of the thuds has gone away as well.
But sometimes I get the feeling, the power has reduced somehow. My car used to run at 50 to 55kmph on 5th gear without any accelerator input. But now its struggles to do the same. Same with lower gears, but to a lesser extend. (My logic is that as the circumference has increased car is struggling to maintain the speed at the same rpm, as increased circumference will cause the car to move at higher speed).

Also bought DLAA fog lamp kits from ebay and got it fitter from Car fantasy at Cochin. Though looks cool, I didn't find the fog lamps to be effective as I would have hoped for.

I put a bigger rear speaker. Wooden spacers I bought was just round spacers. I had to shape it to accommodate them and I had to use 2 spacers on a single speaker so as to not touch the metal rod underneath it [:)]
i m back after 4 months here on automotive. up till now i have not got rear speakers, i need spacers for those stock speakers, so getting wooden spacers. how to stick those spacers at rear body of speakers place?

Hi guys,
Has anyone got their Amaze batery replaced yet? My car just covered 3 yrs and in the 30k service done last week, the service advisor called me and informed that my car battery (Make:Amaron) is weak and may die any time. I was surprised since it didn't show any signs of aging till date -- no slow cranking, difference in brightness of headlamps etc. They quoted 6600/- for a new battery and was not offering any discount on the old one. Rather, they told me that they will return the old one so I can sell it outside. I politely refused to get it changed in ASS. After getting the car back, I have been monitoring it closely and am still to see any signs of weak battery. Please suggest any other options to check if the battery is proper.
A quick search online for a replacement battery is showing 45Ah for Amaze. Is it the right capacity of Amaze Diesel battery?

He might have tried to achieve his monthly targets[lol]

If it's not showing up any indications, then please don't worry about it . And still if you wan't to be sure, please check at any battery shops. I won't advice you to do that because, there are no symptoms of a weak battery shown as per your words.Yes 45AH would be the right battery for amaze.

You have to remove the seats to get access to these areas

Yes 15" Alloys and tires costed me around 55K approx.

Yes I do used to swap to my OE alloys on my road trip if it does have a chance of bad roads [:)]

You can easily get aftermarket OE fitting fog lamps around 3-4K I believe.[:)]

The discount you saw is a dealer discount.
Classic Honda in Faridabad offers its regular customers a discount booklet...you get 2 50% labour discounts, 1 free wheel alignment, 3 free car washes, dry cleans, etc.
Great !! Where as we don't get any such offers here[frustration]

Was waiting in Traffic signal and a Grandpa in an Activa squeezed in through the gap between divider and my car and this happened. Was so frustrated cause he was pretty sure that he's not gonna make it even though he tried and this happened[frustration]

I kept my Temper respecting his age [cry]

There is a small dent/ding on the right rear door and a big long scratch.
