Prakritij, I rejected them because they are COB type wide chip LED bulbs which have the most shitty beam pattern.

Many folks on the forum brought these by mistake and focus is totally useless.
Get these-

Yeah, I bought the COB type and they were not good in the low beam projectors, though working OK in the high beam reflectors.
Will definitely go for the CREE types you have suggested in Future.
Thanks

Only the bulbs or the ballasts too? Does it have to do something with the salts/electrodes in the bulbs?

I bought this: ATV Dirt Bike Motorcycle Stop Cut Kill Switch With Start Starter Button | eBay
I comes without the turn signal indicator switch.
1. Characteristics of HID bulbs are dependent on Various factors like age, ballast quality, Salts quality so on.
As the bulbs age, the electrode gap increases, making the output lightly cooler (Bluer) and not as intense.

2. Where is the light switch on this one as The one I suggested had?

The red parts are of the same switch to toggle between on and off.

There are 4 wire coming out and two of them are crimped to a white coupler, and two wires are free.
I guess the wires with the coupler are for the on/off switch and the free ones are for the starter. It may be vice versa too.
I also guess I have to wire both the switches in parallel to achieve what I desire.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks

I own a Ford Ecosport. As everyone knows, oem headlights leave you wanting for more. I ordered Philips Xtreme Vision Plus from Powerbulbs.com for 1600 bucks. Its performance though better than the oem bulbs, wasn't worth the money spent. Above all that, one of the bulbs conked off within 2 months. Its filament had broken off. So much hype for nothing. I reached powerbulbs for replacement but my fault, i didnt update them with my address change and I couldn't get my hands on replacement bulbs. Have been driving with Xtreme Vision Plus in one headlight and oem bulb in another. Now since I often drive on highways and sometimes end up driving at night even though I wouldn't want to, I am feeling an urge to upgrade. I want substantially better performance within a budget of 1500-2000, which from my research till now seems can be had from LED CREE bulbs only. Kindly guide i below two options are good enough.

Are these plug and play? Will they fit into the H4 holder of Ecosport? Would I need to remove the dust cap? Or drill holes into it to accommodate its wires?

Thanks

1. Philips Extreme visions, as you figured out are total hype and just a loot for the price they sell at.
2. Go for these- Select H4 type and color should be 4300k. Not 6000k.

3. They are plug and play
4. Dust caps are usually not cut if you can fit driver inside. If there is not enough space, small splices have to be made to enable external placement of driver.
5. bulbs in your links are incorrect and useless.
6. Budget has to be raised.

How are these bulbs incorrect/useless? These are best selling bulbs at aliexpress, sold more than 10,000 orders. Do you mean that they should be in the range of 4300k instead of 6000k.

While purchasing from aliexpress I prefer a best-selling product or a seller with stupendous reviews. The link you shared has none. Kindly guide what I should be looking for so that I can find the best available option.

Should I rather go for 90/100W philips rally setup with relay instead of this considering the budget then? Will it be good enough.

Also since I am a noob at such stuff. What are all the things that need to be connected when setting up this LED bulb, driver, fan, et al?

A trained eye picks up way too many faults with the bulbs you mentioned. To name a few major ones-
1. Your first lamp has COB chips arranged all over the place.
2. Your second bulb has LEDs positioned side by side, unlike Front-back arrangement with typical H4 bulb.
3. None of those bulbs have any kind of glare shields.
4. The Wide chip COB and side-by-side led provides a very wide, unfocused light source to the reflector, leading to glare and blinding effect.
5. color is wrong.

You can start reading thread from here-
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...dlamps-discussions-queries-87.html#post545552

Reflectors/ lens are precision devices. The Filament and Reflector designs are aligned in such a way that the reflector collects and re- aims the Light rays to generate Light beam, Cutoff and other properties.

Any Change in Light source can cause these alignments to disturb and causes glare and useless beam pattern and light is not going where it should.

Further here-

To sum it up, I do not suggest 100/90. get the LED bulbs I suggested and report back with beam shots.

Just curious, Philips has an offering in the same segment known as Philips Ultinon Xtreme Led bulbs costing around 9000. But they have 6200k (white) as color temperature. I have read that whiter the light, it is more difficult to see during rains/fog. So how do people with these headlights manage?
