Dear bhvm sir,

please throw some light on how to achieve this.
Do I have to split the wires? As the low beam H7 connection will have to power two projector setup simultaneously and the High beam wire will be connected to the solenoid wire only.
Won't the low beam wires get overloaded or the load will be as earlier as they will run in parallel?

Thanks in advance
Buddy its easy to do.
1st we will buy a relay kit as below-
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1X-...lgo_pvid=a7ad1c5f-bfcf-45be-951f-5db098ca18c5

This relay kit will take entire load off your stock wiring. The stock wiring only offer Trigger. Also, any splicing that needs to be carried out will be on this relay kit, That will preserve your factory wiring as is.

Once you get the stuff, get back to me so I can show you step by step.
Good luck.

Also, Rather than HID bulb, we can also look forward so an LED bulb. Philips or Cree ones are just great. Performance is as good as HID kit but it solves most of the shortcomings of HID (Like startup draw, Bulky ballasts, Unable to flash etc...)

Thank You Sir,
Will definitely seek your help during installation.

Here is a pic of the current setup with 6000K P8 HIDs inside OEM Halogen projectors.
Sorry for the low quality pic.

I was searching AliExpress, from where I usually get stuff, for projectors that could fit H7 kits but am unable to find the same.

Can you guide to links(pref
AliExpress) where I can get H7 projectors?

hi there are different projectors available
ranging from 14k onwards for the Chinese types and then morimoto for 22k onwards
installation on the yeti is not simple please do take it to someone with experience
and also the yeti has a canbus system so please purchase a compatible kit
or else you would have a bulb out check light
hope that helps

Dear All,

I would like to upgrade the stock headlights in my Jetta. They really are terrible at night. I'm thinking of Morimoto XFR 3.0; are these a good buy? Will the fit my car? What headlight colours would you suggest? I'm open to other suggestions as well.

could you post a picture of your current headlamp will make things easier to suggest

also the FXR is a very good projector installation isnt the easiest

you could try looking for the morimoto d2s projector easier to install

and has great light output as well

Single Barrel with separate bulbs? Thats quite strange. Are you trying to say these are single headlight with Separate reflectors for halogen bulbs?

Post pics as vinnie suggested, that will help.
A much simpler and cost effective upgrade will be to stuff HID 4300K kit in STOCK FOG lamps. These work like second low beams on the highway and are quite useful for spotting potholes,Speedbreakers,Dividers stray dogs etc. With some adjustment, the stock cutoff can be neatly maintained to reduce glare.

Cost will be 5k.

Have uploaded the attachment. What are the issues with FXR and what would the pros/cons be of doing d2s vs FXR

I've attached a photo. Sorry if I've made any mistakes. I'll evaluate the fog lamp vs projector upgrade as well. Thanks for the heads up! do the fog lamps work well in the city too? What kind of glare reduction are we talking about here?

It appears you have double barrel headlamps and they are halogens, BTW VW has really skimped on the projectors even for premium cars!

1.The upgrade here will be to replace halogen bulbs with high quality LED bulbs with proper specs. Please consult the user manual for specs.
2. Upgraded fogs will work great in city if they are adjusted down and focused properly.

Yes VW has really skimped, I didn't buy this car new, it was pre-owned and I've managed for 2.5 years with the stock but I can't deal with it any longer. I don't think I'd have ever bought this new.

1) Will the LED bulbs give as good illumination as projectors? What would the cost of the bulbs be?

2) If I'm going to go with LED+Upgraded fogs, I feel it would make more sense to just go with projectors, if they are a serious upgrade.

I'm willing to invest some money in the lighting as it seems I'll be keeping the car for at-least 2-3 more years. Obviously I don't want to go overboard but if I can get a good projector set up installed in the 15 K range then I don't mind. I'm happy importing the parts directly as well since it appears prices in India tend to be on the higher side.

1. With the right kind of LED bulb, and addition of HID in fog, The output will be actually better (Twice!) than just a projector+Hid upgrade. What you may miss is the crisp of cutoff from projector that some people tend to love. (eg. me!)

LED bulbs will be 4.5k, HID kit 5k.

2. Projectors are a serious upgrade but it also need serious considerations. If installed by anyone but the best possible expert, Projector retrofit often opens up a can of worms.

The stock reflector and housing needs to be cut for making space for projectors.
There are risks of Water/Fog entry, Difficult to get alignment and so on. Needless to say, you also loose warranty. Projector retrofit is one way path, Whereas LED can be removed and routed to stock in case you need to make an Insurance claim or sell the car.
