Why not use speaker spacers and fix them on the door pads.

The spacers would cost 50 rs each, do you have door pockets ?
If yes then we have to remove them.

normal speakers have no problem. dhruv has components. this definitely needs spacers.
nano's door pads are fully cardboard covered with rexin. if speaker weighs more, that will also be a problem i guess.

1st service done - bill 350/- (for mud flaps)

service is done satisfactory.
car was clean.
i am very disappointed with the mud flaps they provided. they are just some crappy rubber flaps. i think i shouldn't have to fit original flaps, aftermarket flaps are made by plastic material which looks faar batter then this one and also they are more steady then original ones.

also, since i have LX model, there is provision for ciggy lighter in car, but dealer refused to fit the socket ( i had provided ) , they directly stated some 3rd party shop to fit it.
i have written this to nano customer care, hope i got some satisfactory answer from them.

on engine side, engine ideal is slow then before. no other changes seen till now.
Hi. Any response from TATA about the cigarette lighter socket?

No answer yet:(

I will fit it myself today if got some time
Thanks. I already fit it from a local chap. Cost some 200 rupees. Make sure the guy uses a socket otherwise they take the short cut by cutting the wires.

Gave my Lxi for 1st service today to the company service centre at Worli, Mumbai. I was surprised that they're open on Sundays. 1263kms on the odo.

Problems : Fuel guage acting funny, AC blower not running at consistent speed, hot air coming into the cabin from beside the clutch when running AC, noisy wiper which does not clean properly and slight scratch on bumper.

About the scratch, I was told that the whole bumper would have to be painted. So I skipped that. I wanted to fit a glove box but they don't have them yet!

Vehicle is expected to be ready by 4. Service rep told me that there would be no charges.

Thanks. I shall start a thread. About the fuel gauge, it shows the full 6 bars until 200-225 kms after filling the tank and then suddenly (and naturally) goes to 1-2 bars.

The cigarette socket wires will go in the white socket in your picture. Just get suitable pins to go into the white socket. Don't cut the wires, lest it voids your warranty.
