Re: Ford Fiesta Facelift Coming To India in 2014

It's not the ASS,but Ford itself which is a bigger ASS.First they should stop being arrogant and give priority to Indians if they want to succeed in India.Honda is selling in large numbers because they are willing to learn.Ford is run by a bunch of stupids, who after 9 months can only allocate 3000 Ecosports for our market. They are the biggest losers I have encountered in 2 decades.Honda is sending out 7000 copies of City.Ford deserves their current situation.Remember Joginder Singhs bragging that they can meet any number of demand for Ecosport?Where is that management genius now, shunned to some desk job,if such incompetent guys are put in helm, you can achieve this much only. The facelift Fiesta won't sell more than 500 a month, even 500 would be like pipe dreams.

Re: Ford Fiesta Facelift Coming To India in 2014

I dont know whether I must be happy for Ford localising the contents in their cars that reduces the cost of ownership or be sad for the kind of ASS it is giving me. My only apprehensions for owning a Ford is not the car itself but its about their service. I stopped giving my Fiesta in service center because of their overacting nature & they also wasted a lot of my time. I used to give it to my friendly neighborhood mechanic called Ramu who is 65yrs old and who once worked in Benz and he is also a Ford Engine expert. But he died recently which is big loss for me. I dont mind giving my car in service center if they takecare and attend my problems promptly. I dont care about the price they quote. Imagine the time taken for replacing headlight bulbs in a service center is 1 day. Does any one who faced such kind of situation would ever by a Ford? The reason I prefer Maruthi and Toyota is, their service is fast and prompt with little glitches which is managable. They get any job done at max 2 days. But I agree that, with any service center you need to be very patient but I had to be extra patient with Ford's ASS which is pushing me to its limits. While I loose my patience there comes the great degree of frustration which spoils my ownership experience. Keeping my apprehensions aside, Ford India just tweeted that tomorrow is going to be big day, which means are they going to launch the Fiesta ?

@VolksJager agree with the fact that the service centers make real mess out of a generally good reliable car and its engine and charge us heavily and simply waste our precious time
The reason I found for most problems is as you have told
1. Enthusiastic driving(very unhealthy considering Indian roads)
2. Ford AC which is much more powerful than most of its competition
3. Use of clutch which is like made to kick whenever we think we need it

And whats bad about DPF filter , I think its good since our temperate climate and dusty surroundings offer good challenge to the intake, so a DPF is good(my thoughts)

About new Fiesta, I am too really eating internet pages at times in search of dates of launch or expected price range etc, nothing official or that can be trusted so far, my source says , most probably launch will happen this month itself nothing more, about pricing what my source still stresses is that, it will be priced in competition with new Honda City, definitely lower than new City but not as cheap as the Skoda Rapid or Fiat Linea(and that makes me lean towards Linea if Ford messes with new Fiesta pricing specially the T-Jet)

I don't think I could have had an amazing ownership experience if I was dependent on Ford service center. I only depended on Ford service center to update my software and stuff like that.

There were common problems that can be taken care of Ford in a good way. Which can lead to bigger problems. And Ford owners were also not much aware of the engine. And in some situations it's pure bad luck.

As per indianautosblog, Ford Fiesta is not going to be launched this month my friend [confused]

This should answer your query [:)]

As 1.5TDCI is derived from 1.6TDCI and our 1.5TDCI is 8valve too so it is reliable [:)]. If you ask me it is more reliable than 1.4 TDCI. This engine is jointly developed by Ford of Britain & PSA group(Peugeot/Citroen) and the same engine is badged as Duratorq TDCI. If Britain is having problems with the TDCI having a DPF we should also face the similar problems, you can check honest UK. Without the DPF this engine has more or less proven reliable.

Generally, 1.6 TDCI has a habbit of killing the turbo's, due to a design flaw which doesnt have proper oil feed for the turbos, ford came with a fix but did not solve it. I think this issue has been taken care of by now.

Thanks for sharing dude [:)]. It is a test mule for sure but its not the facelifted model. Your picture shows that Ford is extensively testing the car and it is a TDCI.

Fiesta facelift wont get ecoboost engine till 2015 february, and no powershift automatic slated for india with ecoboost motor, i wish ford releases the fiesta sport hatchback in india as against the polo gt tsi, its under 4m it will get excise benefits and total inroad price will somehow be much lower than 10 lakh

The 1.6s was the car that was unique in the conpany of tje palio 1.6, now the polo gt tsi is standing alone with no competition, fiesta sport would have been a really good competition and the best enthusiastic choice for customer
