Two recent updates to share:

- Good: While filling up the tank at the fuel bunk, a person from the car in front came out and asked me about Fiesta. He also appreciated the car and told that he’s considering to buy one. It was quite nice to speak to a fellow enthusiast. I told him about TAI. Let’s see if we can catch up with him here.

- Bad: The car has received the first scratch. Not sure who did it but it happened when the car was parked. Though it’s a small one on rear bumper but I'm not able to forget about it. I’m thinking to fix it during the next service. Hope this damage is the first and last one.

Just to provide an idea (Excuse the blurry image).

Ouch that hurts[anger], it feels like [gun] the person who did it, at-least some excuse should be made by him.

So how many kms has your car done till now? And what about the performance, took it for a spin?

Sad part is that the paint has peeled off. Also, a wicked i10 driver from opposite lane rubbed against the ORVM. I almost got a heart attack. Thank almighty, there was no damage. Not even a scratch.

She has completed just 600 odd kms. There is nothing to complaint about performance at all. Getting exactly what I expected. Fiesta adapts so well even in cities that it feels like driving a hatchback with nimble handling.

Very sad to hear about the brush stroke!

Something happened to my car also.
I was rushing through a narrow lane in honda city and some *€%¥#+** safari driver (drunk) hit my car from front and rubbed my front fender.
Then I came out to see and safari guy came out to fight. some friendly gaalis flew from both sides and we all went to our homes.(11.30 pm)

Next morning, expecting a small scratch, came to know about the fully broken ORVM, front fender dent and scratch, bumper popping out, dent on do

The scratch looks to be a small one and easily fixable using a rubbing compound.
The scratch is deep so I don't think rubbing compound is going to help much. I will ask for a touch up at next service.

Sorry to hear about the scratch 350Z.Its common for a car that lives in a city like Delhi.

Will the dealer allow a touch up?

The authorized dealers say they need to paint the full bumper to get the finishing.

BTW I find the 600 kms on the odo to be low.Seems like you utilize public transport.

Off topic: I found the Delhi having disciplined traffic.

Hi Guys,

i am new to this forum logged in just now and inspired by the true fiesta classic.
i have read all the queries posted. Good job all of you.
To start with this i have booked in fiesta classic 1.6 clxi variant. Any one from Bangalore because my dealer is from Metro ford Bangalore. i had an horrible experience with that guy, he had made me to wait more than 20 days despite of paying full amt and i am still yet to receive my car.

Don't know what would be my next move??? confused to drop this car or go for another one and take my amt back. i had given a timeline of this weekend!!!

Waiting for my car,
Manjoo

@Vibhor:
First of all congrats for the first scratch too.Its the sign of running.
Although its not acceptable but still,if a car is running then no one can prevent if from getting scratched.Jut get it repaired thoroughly.
And take strict care of the paint finish at the time repair job is done,it shout look like nothing ever happened.

Dunno why,but I felt like something is missing in the Fiesta(BTW,what's her nick name?).I mean add a rear spoiler and get the lower part of rear bumper blackened like in Fiesta 'S',this will further enhance the beauty of the car.I meant something like this:-

No way I’m going to repaint the complete bumper for a minor scratch. Let’s see if a touch up is possible.

I still prefer using 800 for rush hours where a small hatchback is more practical. Fiesta serves more or less as a weekend car for inter-city or highway travel.

Ford is quoting Rs.7,000 for the spoiler. So first, I am focusing on other purposeful add-ons:

> Sun films: Dropped the idea after recent order by Supreme Court.

> Seat Covers: Availability is an issue of Autoform U-Burr. Infact, Carnation informs that their price has been hiked up to Rs.9,000 (?)

> Navigation System: Nothing decided on this one yet. I would seek for opinions and start reading user reviews on our forum before finalizing.

> Security System: Fiesta does not come equipped with an anti-theft alarm. Though an alarm might not really help ‘prevent’ theft but it sure would keep people away from using my car as a support or touching it unnecessarily. Apart from it, I also have some other security features in mind.

Hi Vibhor,

Please confirm the rates of the ford parts which i have bought from the dealer itself. don't know whether i have paid more. Is it worth buying from him or else do you suggest that these parts can be bought outside for cheap also.

Fog Lamps = 4500
Door trim = 5000 (chromium body colored)
Front Radiator Grille = 3000
IND Plates also charged for 1100rs

At last I could only collect Freebies from him as mats, car cover, sunfilm(Which i have to remove [anger] now), perfume and idol. Last 10k discount was left out.

The price of mentioned items seems all right as they are bought from the dealership. Personally I would avoid buying add-ons from there unless it becomes necessary such as in case of certain electric accessories that may void the standard warranty if fitted from outside.

Front Radiator Grille = 3000
Why a new front radiator grille?

IND Plates also charged for 1100rs
Are the registration plates RTO authorized?

Even i feel whatever might be the cost better get the original one for necessary parts.

Since i own Black fiesta ordinary honeycomb grille was not having that much impressive front looks, Chromium grille suits best on black and also i am not fully satisfied with this coz,

if you observe the old fiesta not the classic one the chromium part comes fully surrounded across it, but in classic style they have changed only the bottom part is chromium.

And regarding IND plates yes it is RTO authorized i can see IND holograms with the numbers black and white combination.
