so 1 week done with my dragon, here are some of my views, more later-
-dragon is totally fun to drive, excellent stretch of power. already done 500+km in 1 week, including 1 lonavala trip. it took me more than a month last time in my xcent to do 500km.
- home to lonavala and back, traffic and highway ride gave me average of around 14 which i feel is good for a 1 week old car.
-engine is very smooth even at low speed, just 1-2 sec shakeup when starting, that too i feel would settle down with time.
-i feel the clutch is heavy, maybe because i am coming from hyundai. did visit the service center on sat morning to check on clutch and brake (3rd gear is not going in smoothly). even SC told that the clutch is normal and it feels hard to me because of my previous 3.5years of hyundai experience, not sure about this though as the TD vehicle i drove was having comparatively light clutch.
- as mentioned by many others, arm rest is useless for driver, more useful for side passenger. only time i could somewhat use the armrest is when the seat was set at the lowest, steering pulled out and seat pushed back. however, i like seating up and having commanding view so have already forgotten about the armrest.
-high speed (didnt go more than 120km/hr) stability is too good, tested on sea link and pune expressway
-engine is good to move from 20km/hr in 3rd gear.
-the vehicle settings in the cluster are not known to even the service center guys. when i asked him to explain when i was there on Sat, he had to call people at factory and delhi office of check about it. he even whatsapped them the pic. these settings are not mentioned in the manual. after waiting for about 40mins for him to understand the settings, the reply came was that these settings are not for indian cars which was very hilarious to me as i knew what the setting meant as i had already done the trial and error for lock settings.
-i went to get seat covers today at local accessories shop, but was told that the seats need to be measured as the seat are different from older version.
-the central speaker is NOT a speaker or woofer, just a design. it vibrates only at high volumes like other plastic parts.
my initial impressions, lets see how it goes ahead.
