@Highway Ranger
OTR in Bangalore 7 seater =1329809/=
OTR in Bangalore 6 seater =1338626/=
I feel you could easily buy an Scorpio with all bells and whistles for that price.

BTW,how was the quality of interiors?
Your queries would have been good with pictures anyway try to snap them next time if you happen to take a test drive of that.Did you visit the showroom near Residency road?

Didn't have a camera with me. Anyway, it was not worth wasting time taking pictures (strictly my opinion).

I visited the one in Hosur road, the one after the Honda showroom.

If you have lots of time to waste, why don't you go and see for yourself? You will have a good laugh.[lol]

One thing good though, after the visit, I now realize what a great car my car is.[clap]

Re: Force Launches "One" - The 140 BHP SUV

I went to Force showroom today and checked out Force one.

My observations.

1) The floor is very high and I, (a six footer), had trouble getting in.
2) The steering wheel hits my knees if I keep them together. (adjusted in the highest position)
5) The driving seat is very uncomfortable. I tried all the possible adjustments. and no under the thigh support since the floor is very high.
I faced the same issues in Santa Fe too & was extremely disappointed with this SUV & wondered how they even priced it for 20+L [confused].

I guess there is nothing good other than the Engine sourced from Daimler, Force's capabilities of producing a finished car can be judged by looking at their earlier products- Trax, Cruiser etc. It will take another 5 years for them to produce a considerable car.
Who will spend 10-12 L on a SUV which don't have ABS, EBD & Air Bags?

I also had a short TD of this SUV and i also share the same views of Highway Ranger. Saw their demo vehicle on rounds and quickly dropped by their showroom saying frankly i already have an Aria i just came to check out the car. Asked for a short TD if possible and the sales guy offered it immedialtely without hesitating one bit.

The floor of this SUV is too high , my knees were touching the steering wheel in whichever position i sat. Because of the extra height headroom is also just about okay. Driving position was nothing great , i had to bend down each time to get a proper view of the road while turning left( the IRVM obstructed my view) i have never faced this is any of the cars i have driven till now. Because of the good wheelbase of the car , legroom of the car is great but the high floor spoils this , my thighs were never even able to rest on the seats.

Plastic quality was okay , not bad. Now coming to the engine i felt the engine was actually quite good! It was a good performer and NVH levels inside the cabin was really good. Pick-up and low end torque was good. But the clutch and gearshift were very very bad. People say TATA has the most crude gearbox but the Force beats even that. You have to put in lots of effort to change gears and engage the clutch. Atleast the above mentioned negatives can be ignored but with this clutch and gearbox nobody can live with it! I can fel the difference immediately when i drove my car after driving the ONE. Due to its huge length there was considerable amount of body roll at even speeds of 60-70kmph. The only part i liked about this ONE is the responsive engine and good suspension and handling apart from the body roll.

And finally when i left the showroom i said to the sales guy i am sorry this SUV does not suit me one inch and never will suit tall drivers like me.

Force One is receiving thumbs down in most of the member’s first impression reviews. One of the major reasons for it I believe is the Mahindra XUV affect. Also it seems that Force sacrificed some of the basic safety features in order to keep the pricing in check but perhaps they forgotten that buyers may overlook them for once in smaller hatchback segment but when paying a big amount such as this, it does matters quite to an extent. But then, this was the first attempt. Hope it improves soon.

I frankly do not believe it the the Mahindra xuv affect. I haven't seen the inside of XUV, but Force One is badly designed. The interiors - I mean and I am not even talking about the quality.

This car could have been accepted to a little extent if Mahindra had not stepped into the scene with jaw-dropping price and features of XUV500. But since it has, Force One has eventually shed in the limelight. Of course, on the other hand there's no doubt that somewhere the fault is in the product as well.

ELITE, totally agree with you here, but what about the official TAI test drive and review of this beast along side with other new launches like EON , xuv , Aria 4x2, the wait has been extremely tiring to say the least.:please::please:

Re: Force Launches "One" - The 140 BHP SUV

The company showroom in Pune had a white Force One till yesterday since the launch. Today, there was a red Force One in the showroom. So either they have sold the first car since the launch or simply replaced the display car so that people don't think that it is not selling. [evil]
