If by any chance FIAT can keep the same price tag or may be with a difference of +30K max; that will be hard hit on Honda, MSIL and TATA. I mean, they can do that with 'volume formula' in mind. Let's cross our fingers.

Agree with shynish. Honda will have sleep less nights once linea completely kicks it off from segment! i hope fiat offers a minor touch up also and what about those extra safety features like ASR and all which are mentioned in first post, will they come? i know no body can tell exactly but maybe some guesses..

If they launch the exact specimen as shown in the auto expo following changes would surely be there

1.Leather Seats
2.16" alloys
3.bigger and wider tyres
4.all four disc brakes
5.spoiler
6.minor changes in the steering mounted audio buttons

These i can remember for sure were there in the tjet showcased at auto expo.

The FIRE - Fully Integrated Robotised Engine engine was designed by the famous Italian design firm of Rodolfo Bonetto and is constructed by robot assembly plants ("Robogate") to reduce costs. The FIRE series replaced the old Fiat OHV engine since 1985. In india, it was introduced through FIAT UNO (if I recall correctly). FIRE engine has been constructed in different versions from 769 cc to 1368 cc with 8 valves. There is another version called the Super-FIRE which uses 16 valves and is available in 999 cc (Brazil) and 1242 cc (Brazil & Europe) displacements. Another version, called Starjet engine with 1368 cc was introduced in 2003 is available in both 8 and 16 valves, both with variable valve timing and EGR. In 2005, a turbocharged version of 1368 cc was introduced as T-JET engine. Mechanically, T-JET engines are simple straight-4 engines with five bearings and overhead cam heads.

If the T-Jet is 1L more expensive than the current petrol Linea i think we'll see atleast all those features that were showcased in the auto expo.

1. Leather Upholstery
2. 16" Alloys
3. Bigger Tyres
4. Rear Disc Brakes[clap]
5. Spoiler[thumbsup]
6. Chrome Finished Sporty Exhaust

Well then if its just a lkah costlier wit all these extra features and the T-Jet beast then am happy to pay for it! Beware all the other manufacturers! And i think the worst affected is going to be City and SX4!

Most likely it will be surely available, Fiat wouldn’t like to disappoint the public by showing an attractive feature packed Linea and offering something else in practical.

Look at the Linea in picture below, It has oval chrome exhaust tip. Could this be the T-Jet? Maybe because if we look a li'l more closer, it has red colored registration number plate which is generally seen on test cars.
