Maximum speed and rest of the technicalites have been well taken care off and implimented .

Guess what guys, today i did 175+ on Yamuna Expressway. But i was unable to go beyond these figures can anyone tell me, would there be any increase in top speed after first oil & filter change of my punto 90.

No, the top speed is limited at 4200 rpm in 5th gear i.e 170-174 kmph.


Ps:else I would have gone 195+kmph.

That's great top speed. I am not sure if you can go above it. Some performance mods might help you in doing so. Only if you are willing to do it.

Some of the punters have claimed to cross 200. And rpm of my ride was ~4300 at 175kmph.

Thanks buddy but punto can go above it. I do not know why i was not able to cross 175. May be engine has still to open up.

@ Vivek, Thats a fab speed. 76 bhp Punto does 160-165 easily and I can imagine how difficult it is to control the 90 hp beast! It can surely can go beyond! But do drive safe. Btw, how many kms on the odo now?

I don't find it hard at all, to drive punto at high speeds. It is one of the easiest machine to drive in the world IMO.
Its 8900 kms only.

Thats really great speed man. I have just achieved 160 not more than that. Were you on straight road or getting down on some slope?

No buddy, there were not just any slope at that time, but it was straight(sort of).
