Quick Product review.

1. Autofresh quick wax.

Today, i used autofresh quick wax after my meg. quik was got finished.

Pros
1. Cheaper than meguiars quik wax.
2. smells like boomer bubble gum.
3. Easy application can be applied on glass, wet surface.

Cons.
1. No feed good factor.
2. 10% performance compared to meg. quik wax.
3. Feels more watery than wax. Even Meg. quik detailer felt better.
4. Doesn't come in spray bottle.

Will i recommend this over meg. quik wax?
No, if you are looking for wax like application than go for meg. quik wax. The difference is of day and night.
(I have only used meg. quik wax before so the comparison is between the two. I would go further and will say that meg. quik wax is even better that 3M wax.)

2. Valet pro PH neutral snow foam.
Bought is from Car Care Products | Car Detailing Products - Detailed Clean India
Pros
1. Finally, i laid my hands on proper snow foam shampoo.
2. Smells great.
3. High foaming ability.
4. Foam sticks better than other option used by me (Autofresh ultra gloss, autofresh heavy duty, Sonus gloss, 3M, armor all ultrashine wash and wax Shampoo)
5. Feel good factor.
6. Ph neutral so no harm to car's paint.

Cons.
1. Expensive than other shampoos.
2. High dilution ratio mentioned on container (300 ml for 700 ml of water). It costed me 700 Rupees for 1 lt. bottle. I used only 150 Ml in 700 ml of water. (I am kanjus[;)])
3. Extremly diluted, at first i thought the product is not genuine.

Will i recommend this product?
Yes, after using so many shampoos for pre wash foam, i am at peace.

I also used Poorboys White Diamond Glaze and Poorboys EX-P sealant.
Both were applied by hand but i think glaze needs machine application because i was not able to achieve desired results and didn't found it to be a good filler. May be my application was not proper[embarass]. EX-P sealant is good, does its job.

Disclaimer: I am a novice in detailing world and reviewing products. I am not a good writer, that you will find in my posts. You are all welcomed to find mistakes and give me further ideas to correct me and make me a better reviewer.

Thanks and regards.

Did you tried Proklear's Spray Wax?

2. Valet pro PH neutral snow foam
I too bought this product some weeks ago and have used it few times now, although I don't have pressure washer.

Its not really a replacement to shampoo but works best as pre-cleaner and doesn't leave streaks or haze. I use 50ml solution in 1ltr of water and my modified pump sprayer to get decent foam with it (Not like snow foam though). Check here: "g e a r h e a d s . i n/showthread.php?25208-How-to-Foam-Your-Car-using-Pressure-Spray-Bottle" for more details. I also have foam spray head bought from Detailed Clean but it hurts to use for whole car cleaning so I use it for my two wheeler only.

If the car is little dirty, the product cleans pretty much as a touch-less wash and could be considered as a replacement to duster but if the car more dirty then we have to continue with mitt and shampoo.

I also used Poorboys White Diamond Glaze and Poorboys EX-P sealant.

Some detailing experts don't like glaze because it makes less realistic so they try to repair the imperfections rather then hiding it. More things to be concerned are, how durable it is, whether the next product will strip it and whether it will reduce durability of the next product. i.e sealant or wax

I don't think machine application makes any difference and the results would be same as hand application. Afterall, its a wipe on wipe off product.

The results of glaze that you have noticed are before or after sealant application? If its after then, probably you have stripped the glaze while applying sealant. If its before and you haven't liked its results then skip the product. [:)]

I hear many people like White Diamond and Black hole for its cleaning abilities but cracks filling is very very minimal.

A very exhaustive and usefull thread. However, How do people like me use the stuff told here for their rides ? :
1. I am living in an appartment and not allowed to wash cars with running water.
2. I have space constraints. My car stands just 12" from the walls on all ends.

How do I overcome above things. Is their some product with which I can wash the car with just one bucket of water with no rinsing required ?

Yes, You can use rinseless wash solutions like Proklear RAW, Proklear RAW Xtreme CX, Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax, Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine or etc

Plus 1.5 ltr* water in spray bottle (pump spray works great) and 2-3 wet microfiber cloths for removing dirt and 2-3 dry microfiber cloths for drying.

*Dilution ratio depends upon solution instructions.

It can't be used as a proper car wash shampoo, you still need to use 2 bucket method to completely clean your car.

Afterall, its a wipe on wipe off product.

Is it really a wipe on wipe off product. The directions mentioned on the bottle say that you need to work the glaze until shine appears.[confused]

After applying the sealant the car became really shiny so this means i had striped the glaze while applying sealant?

PRODUT REVIEW: SONAX INTERIOR CAR CLEANER.

I have some respects over SONAX products – they are from Germany, since 1950.

Almost after three and half years, I felt my seat covers need cleaning. Of course, I keep it very neat the sparingly used car, but it gets dirty whenever sent to regular service.

I could see some stains here and there and the seat cover was little bit shinny due to sweat and dirt wax. Glass cleaner Collin is really good in cleaning the soft beige fabric door pad and handles but not on my fabric seat cover. Fabric texture easily get dirty, requires regular maintenance as they are blend of cotton and rexin. But, they are cheap and comfortable in all weather.

So, I wanted to try some good product but kept a mindset that not to expect a magic or miracles. This product necessarily has to be less aggressive, soft and texture friendly or otherwise bleach the color and damage the fine fibers.

There are excellent products in the market for vinyl and leather cleaning as/FOR
W = Water based cleaning only
S = Solvent based cleaning only
SW = Solvent and water-based cleaning
X = Professional cleaning only

I wanted a good Solvent and water-based cleaning like a dry cleaning type which will evaporate at the earliest from fabric and, so I end up with SONAX Interior Car Cleaner.

1. Cleaned the area by vacuum cleaner and moist cloth.
2. Sprayed Sonax and rubbed softly in a circular motion with yellow round sponge ( used for waxing)
3. Cleaned the surface with moist soft cotton banian cloth.
4. Wiped and dried with MF cloth.

Observations:

PLUS
Very good, cleans well the superficial layer, gives a nice luster and restores color, Mild lovely odor.
Beautifully designed PET bottle with trigger spray, pleasure to spray.

MINUS
Expensive (Rs.430/- for 500ml), one bottle will only be enough for one or two applications for the entire interior of the car, depends upon the size and dirt.
Stubborn stains needs to be removed by other means like using Amway silicone glaze polisher, alcohol.

Recommendation : Nothing wrong to try if you have a fabric seat or want to clean your car roof fabric.

Indeed, it works as precleaner for mild dirty surface and touch-less wash for very light dirty surface.

Btw; dilation ratio as per instruction is 1:20. Meaning 1.5 oz solution into 31.5 oz water or approx 50ml into 1ltr of water.

I don't know where you have found "300 ml for 700 ml of water" instruction or my above calculation is wrong?

No idea about bottle instructions but in autogeek, it says WD and BH are wipe on wipe off products.

Of course you have to work until the product goes away and shine appears but it will be quick. Its not like a product that needs to wait to dry then buff off nor a polish to buff for long time. Its just a cleaner with filling abilities so work has to finish quick.

After applying the sealant the car became really shiny so this means i had striped the glaze while applying sealant?
No, I mean have you noticed difference before applying glaze and after applying glaze? Did the imperfections hide? i.e light swirls. You have to check this under direct sunlight.

If those imperfections were invisible after applying glaze but became viable again after applying sealant then it has stripped the fillers of the glaze.

It is clearly mentioned on the bottle that for foam lance the dilution ratio is 3:7. Attaching pic for your reference. For pump spray method the ratio is 1:20.[:)]

Hello to all
Please tell me which tyres are best for my volkswagen polo 1.2 tdi highline 2013 model. My polo have stock alloys and tyres, the conpany fitted alloys are good in somelook silver colour, but six months ago i turned them into black matt colour by abro spray paint bottle. After that they look great and many people stopped me and want to know how i turned them into black, some people thought that these alloys comes black from factory but i told them that i changed them into black, they said that it looks very awesome on white polo.
And the tyres are also stock company fitted. In 2013 the tyres of polo are coming with size 185/60/15 . And of Apollo company. Apollo accelare. The tyres are good no noise, good grip of both wet and dry conditions, but the life of tyres was not enough, so apollo stop making it after 2014. My tyres are running only 48000 kms but it covers 5000 kms more.
So i have to change my tyres next month, please let me know which tyres are good. I live in chandigarh so no bumps and cracked roads, but in a month i have to go outside chandigarh to punjab, and some roads of punjab are in very worst conditions. So i need tyres that are good in bad roads and good roads.
Recently i went to tyre shop in sector 21 chd, they said that apollo accelare tyre are not in market bcoz company stopped manufacturing this model, now they make apollo 4G model which is good tyre with running of 70000 kms. The price of tyre is Rs.4200 per tyre, but after some bargaining he asked Rs.4000 per tyre. He said michelin is top company in tyres which is in budget. The same size of 185/60/15 costs Rs.5400 per tyre and running of 100000 kms.
Both apollo and michein have 2 years warranty but no warranty on cut.
Please help me whether upgrade my tyre size for better performance and good ride comfort or stay with the same size, and which comoany tyres are good for vw polo.....

Kindly note, this is a focused thread on detailing about automobiles – but not anything about any vehicle. The question posted by you is out of track, so please post in the relevant thread section of this forum. Only thing you need little patience and a mind to explore more.
Request to MODs: Please move the question posted here to the relevant area. Thanks.
Regarding door cleaner and grease:
1. Always ensure to clean and dry those areas after water wash or rain.
2. Apply WD40 spray and you can use this grease (Bosch Grease) to lubricate car door hinges.
3. Any mechanic shop also will have such grease.
4. Have a check over door alignment and ensure to handle softly and firmly to close/ open the doors.
