3507 since you have seen the ecosport in real do you think it is too small ? I mean is it longer in length then the jazz? I know its a wrong comparison but does it have stance imposing as the xuv ?

You can't say Ecosport is small but it's true that the car is compact than what one would expect after hearing that it's an "SUV". No, it cannot be compared with XUV500 in terms of size. You can probably call it a hatchback on steroids but a slightly longer one at that. I think it can be a viable option for those who wish to have utility of SUV, Parking convenience of hatchback and comfort of a sedan. Quite clearly, Ford is targeting this segment. Although hope the pricing is right.

If ford is going to launch it here in India in last quarter why has the testing not yet started here ? Is it possible that they don't test here and just launch? I mean how many months before the testing usually starts before the launch of the car ?

Just inquired at Ford Dealership about the EcoSport. My sales excecutive has informed that it is likely to launch in August 2012

two days back i filled my details in details in keep me informed page ( https://touch.secure.india.ford.com/suvs/ecosport/keep-me-informed )
got a call from them yesterday when asked the person told me the petrol version will be out during 3rd quater and before September, again asked for diesel version he replied stating diesel model will be released with in 2 month after the petrol version release.

Wowowwwwww the ecosport does have a solid look though we can't see the front it looks quite massive and huge for its size can't wait to see its final,production version next month in china auto show. And ford has almost kept the production version same as the concept hope ford comes with a very aggressive pricing for this it can be chart buster.

Ford has a full-fledged testing track with different kind of terrains in their Chennai Plant. Perhaps an internal testing has already started. Who knows?

350Z wow I never knew that , BT the way the ecosport looks quite huge in 1 video I saw its dimension width wise is somewhat similar to the Honda crv and even the height lets see how the final production looks like .
