I do saw many armrests availabe accessory shops and online stores. But as in the case of now rolling out I20's(top end) , let us expect Ecosport to have it in default (atleast for the titanium variant).
the long wait for the Ford SUV is going to end withing another couple of months. Eagerly waiting for the price lists of the Ecosport !

Ah, don't call ES as SUV , you are insulting the true SUVs. ES is just high GC hatch. And if diesel is launched around 9L ex-showroom, it is dead for me, killed by the Storme.

No point in considering it to be "roomy" as the driver in there is a slant eyed chap & our body frame is far different than slant eyed ones.
If not Indian, you need to put European in there to see real picture.

I don't think Indian body structure can be compared to European, But thing I am happy is the body of Chinese just matches mine

I totally agree with you, ES is not a SUV including the duster! But in my case I am exactly looking for ES. I needed a upgrade to my Swift and I think it just qualifies. If its somewhat spacious than swift I call it "Roomy"

Pricing is the key for success. But I am really surprised to see duster has been increasing the pricing, they have already announced a hike post Jan 1st.

One more suggestion from you all guys, My daily usage is about 15KMs. Basically 3rd and 4th and very little 5th gear. What you think i should go far? Petrol or Diesel? Occasional (twice a year vacation trip with 4 occupants)

I totally agree with you, ES is not a SUV including the duster! But in my case I am exactly looking for ES. I needed a upgrade to my Swift and I think it just qualifies. If its somewhat spacious than swift I call it "Roomy"

If you talk about rear seat, you will be disappointed. I think even i20 or Jazz will have more legroom behind than ES.

Diesel, and the higher price difference will be compensated at the time of resale in anycase. Also, why become guinea pig for 1.0L ecoboost petrol ? Use tried & tested 1.5L one used in Fiesta. Ofcourse, had this not been FOrd ES, I would have recommended petrol for you.

Ecoboost engine is awarded best engine of 2012 for a reason . It has rave views across the Europe were ford is selling it in focus and fiesta hatchback . Just read about it or watch it in you tube .

Yes they will be launching together .

Feb end most probably

Expect 50 -75 thousand more the. I20 / jaaz petrol and diesel models variant to variant .

Ford EcoSport is one car which has created a lot of curiosity among the Indians.

The patience of the prospective buyers who already started thronging the dealerships to inquire about the EcoSport’s booking dates is depleting every passing day. We petrolheads couldn’t wait either to see how good the compact crossover SUV fares against its main rival Renault Duster which is moving out of the showrooms faster than Renault could build it.

Our friends at Motorbeam.com report that, according to their sources, Ford EcoSport has almost completed its ARAI testing procedures. The much anticipated car is expected to end the wait in February 2013.

The EcoSport has been spotted testing in and around Chennai on numerous occasions. Ford India is ostensibly giving the SUV the final touches before gearing up for the big day, perhaps one of their biggest in history.

Ford has been progressively releasing details about the car through their official website and now almost everything except the prices, variants, ARAI mileage and launch date had been made public.

By delaying the EcoSport, Ford India has unintentionally offered the Renault Duster a free hit in the Indian market. The French manufacturer is reportedly readying the 4WD version of the Duster for Indian market roughly at the same time as Ford EcoSport’s launch.

Ford Ecosport 4WD is available in Brazil but its unlikely to be on offer in India, not at least during the launch. Watch the video to catch the EcoSport 4WD in action.

The strategy for the FORD should be to launch ES on introductory price and just after couple of months increase the price, this is the only way they could survive.

There is no point in launching product with higher cost and when no one is buying, provide the same with discount.
