As in for short trips if I do not want a spare, and still not make the rear look weird!
In Brazil, Ford has a variant which doesn't has the tyre fixed on the rear door. Though have no idea if the spare tyre is placed in the boot or under the belly. But the rear still looks good. Not weird IMO. But surely loses the machoness.
Don't really know how it will look on the Indian version though without the rear wheel.

Like gm88 said and posted the tyre actually gives that kind of pseudo SUV look , without tyre it will 1000% quality has hatch on steroids [:)] ( which in a way it is actually but the tyre kinda of helps ).

The models that you have shown looks good without the rear spare, but I doubt the rear would be that clean. These Brazilian models might have been designed that way such that spare wheel is kept somewhere inside.
But as per the renderings as of now for India, there would always be a railing or hook that could be seen at rear door, which might spoil the looks.

This is not a standard variant in Brazil...it is an after market stuff. Ford is not selling any of the Ecosport variants without spare mount on the rear.

Yes that's why i said, i have no idea how it will look in the Indian version as it will have some rails to hold on to that rear tyre which will look ugly if left naked. Its a wait and watch game as of now for all of us.

Oh my bad. Had seen these pics earlier so thought Ford must be selling them like this only in the Brazilian market. For an after market job, the job done seems to good to be true.

@ sclass - check the above ^^^ spread sheet posted by 350Z hope that clears your doubt.
Ya, thats good but again it depends upon pricing. If Titanium is priced close to Storme, that not worth even if comes with airbags & stuff like that.

@ 350Z,
Did you inform Ford guys/gals to improve under thigh support ?

@ all,

Chevy Enjoy has been launched at Rs.5.49L, this despite not being sub 4m. If this is the case, ES too should be priced in this bracket only. If Ford thinks hype created will get them good booking, ES may well end like Fiesta, a sales dud.

Pricing will either give Ford a Figo or Fiesta. [lol]

Rightly Said S Class, Ford should start it at 4.99 L for the base, as there are no power windows at the back & hit the Compact Sedan Segments as well has price the Titanium 1.0 L at 6.8 L to hit the Duster Segment.

It would be a fantastic strategy by Ford if this is done as they will shake 2 different segments with 1 car.

Lets hope the Educated & Knowledgeable MBAs at ford get this and price it right, else they will expect a fiesta.

In my openion, this is what they might have thought that is the reason, they kept the Base version without Power window, else as even said earlier, some one Buying a car for 6 L minimum expects a 4 door power window at least. so 4.99 L is perfect to start with
