I can assure you that ford is not so modest to price it in the range you are suggesting . Iam sure you know the tech and gizmos they are offering from the base version to the top version .

Figo(P) starts at 3.89L and one can get himself a Fiesta Classic at 5.74L. No way 4.99 seems visible.

Polo stays sir. Its my first love. Won't let it go so easily. We are planning to replace Dad's Fiesta Classic diesel with either the EcoSport or Duster. Duster was earlier rejected by my parents so mostly Ecosport should be the one coming in the garage.

Ford launches Emergency Assistance in the EcoSport

Ford is hosting the EcoSport media drive in Goa and this is the first time we get to feel the car and know more about the features ourselves.

Of particular interest, is the Ford Emergency Assistance feature, which is a first of its kind in India. The system works in conjunction with Ford’s SYNC system available on the EcoSport.

SYNC is the name given to the car’s mobile phone support. Once you pair your mobile phone through SYNC, it automatically switches ON and OFF the Bluetooth each time you enter and exit the car. As a result, you can make and receive calls on the move, while also accessing your text messages and contacts.

However, should there be an accident and the airbags of the car deploy, or the fuel is cut off, SYNC will automatically send a critical voice message directly to emergency operators. Before the system initiates the call, there will be a 10-second window to allow you to decide whether you want the call to go through or not. If you do not do anything, the call will go through automatically to the emergency operators.

The SYNC Emergency Assistance will override the incoming/current calls during the accident and give priority to the emergency call automatically. Also, if a driver is unable to communicate at all, SYNC will automatically deliver a voice message while also giving GPS coordinates of the accident to the emergency crews.

The SYNC Emergency Assistance feature is valid for the lifetime of the vehicle without you having to pay any activation or subscription charges as such.

Diesel won't be launched in Titanium, nor will 1.5L petrol. Titanium is reserved for only 1.0L ecoboost petrol. This is as per current info.
And ES Ambiente diesel for 6.89L will be rip-off, when it doesn't even have rear power windows, no fog lights. In short it is similar to the base Ldi of Dzire or Etios. 6.89L for base will to be way to high.

And one can't compare ES with duster as ES is sub-4m. One needs to take Premier Rio & Mahindra Quanto as benchmarks in terms of pricing.

seems to be feature rich from the base variant. if the pricing is right. Ford you have a rocker of a model in hands . But the flip side is this will eat away the little share that Fiesta ( new and classic) holds.

I don't think that it will eat in to fiesta's share. Sedans have their own pros and utilitiy. Little bit of cross shopping may happen but not substantial. IMHO top end models of b2 hatchbacks will take maximum hit. Beware polos, i20s and swifttttts. Why not figo even! After all now a days maximum people are getting their purchase financed and buyers will for sure get tempted to increase their budget as difference in EMIs can be managed by many buyers.

P.S. By the way if ford go fiesta's way in pricing then GOD SAVE AMERICA

Honda Amaze has just crossed the 22000 booking mark today. With a production capacity of just 4500-5000 units per month, the wait time has gone upto almost 5 months.

If the Ecosport is priced aggressively, they may even convert atleast 20% of the already booked, buyers of Amaze. They will cancel their bookings and convert to Ecosport.

Honestly, pricing matters over features for Indian buyers. We should not only look at ppl like us who are on forums & websites only. Most buyers don't even know these type of review sites exists. If everyone on this forum even buys an Eco Sport, we will not even account to 1% of entire projected Sales. Hope the Management takes a good decision.

Think of it this way. Someone buying a car for 6 L (Projected Starting Price), expects 4 powered windows atleast, This shows we might expect something good in terms of base price.

Boss who told you diesel won't be launched in titanium ? Infact it will be launched in titatinium and titanium + also . 4 variants for 1.5 petrol and diesel .
Its only the ecoboost which won't be available in trend and ambient variants .

Mars red is I think the Orange colour seen in all the promotions. So no solid red colour (like the one in Figo) in India.
