That is awesome buddy. So it is our driving which yeilds more FE. I till now got 17 to 18 kmpl in Chennai City but this time only 14kmpl as my right foot got injured so it is hard to drive so was little heavy footed on clutch to be cautious.

It is a 90/100watt Philips bulbs with relay kit. It cost me 800rs. The throw of light in wet roads are better during rains

Yes the bulbs are Philips. The throw is better than HID. I used Philips HID white with balast but changed it to 90/100 watts because visibility was very bad during rain in HID

I have Ertiga ZDI and 600M driven so far. I use to drive only on Sundays, that too not in bumper-to-bumper traffic. It is 50% on highway and 50% in normal city traffic. My usual mileage is 12-13 kmpl only. I could never achieve more than that. Hi MarutiErtiga, Can you please let us all know what driving style you have changed which resulted in 17 kmpl in peak hour traffic?

My highway story is satisfactory: 80-100 KM speed - average was ~17-18 Kmpl. 100-120 KM speed - average was 15-16 kmpl

Mahii, I've used premium diesel when it was only a rupee or so more than normal diesel, now with almost 9Rs. to a litre doesnt make sense if FE goes up by 1-2!

I'm not sure its anything with the machine, Its most probably driving style-Dont go to heavy on the throttle, shift up smoothly and stay in higher gears unless reqd.! Key is to go light on throttle and let it power itself, as after 2000 RPM, there's no stopping it!

I have an MID FE of 16.8 till date which can be taken as 15KMPL (manual tank full averages calculated by me bring it to 16 ) But I think 11 is on the lower side even for B'lore traffic! All my Highway trips (300kms+) have given me FE of atleast 18-19kmpl and Mumbai-Pune trips 22KMPL by manual calculations!

It is a good idea to use premium diesels for a couple of tank fills, because it contains additives that clean the fuel lines.If the prices are too high you can alternatively try to buy a bottle of any brand of fuel system cleaners and empty it into the tank as per the instructions.

I have used Cyclo and 3M fuel system cleaners and found them to be good.
