Loyal to hyundai since 2001 ( my old santro which i mentioned )

dad purchased the santro again because he wanted to drive that only and nothing else , when we had i10 and santro , he only drove santro , and now when we have verna , he only drives i10. Dad just wants us to be happy like all the others wants their children to be[:)]

if all's well , world doesn't comes to an end in 2012 :stupid: and hyundai launches 2013 santa-fe , maybe will go for that only.

wow , great set of wheels :)

which model do you have of xuv ?
my brother also have an xuv , and drove it day before yesterday , it was so amazing. i was driving it like anything. it accelerates sooo good. and loved the overall interiors and features they gave.

Thank you my young friend
I have a lieutenant who does the duty every morning, plus weekends i clean myself and wax occasionally. Once a year if the car behaves well i treat them with a polish/3m kind of luxury.

well regarding selling it, its a heart vs head thing, i have regular travel to some rural places and put my drives through some really bad roads including no road sometimes, it breaks my heart to put the civic through that though off late i have stopped that completely( even though the civic is built well to take the beating, but you get such a guilty feeling doing it ).

also for the amount of driving i do a diesel makes more sense and road characteristics demand for a suv, though i have the XUV i am thinking of replacing civic with a 'truck'.
Well, even I to prefer head over heart. Its better to bid goodbye to the lovely car then crying seeing her getting hurt everyday.
So,which truck are you thinking of,because very soon(whenever father gives me green signal)I am again hitting roads in search for a new car/truck.

About washing etc,its Mr Chauffy's wish,if he feels he must wash then he does it everyday else I have seen car being washed once a week too.
About maintaining, its in my hand.Anything from window tint to tyres first come in my hand before going to the car.

yes thank you there is nothing more ego boosting than watching your old beauty gleam in front of you.
Definitely right,if your old beauty is gleaming in front of your eyes, then it surely boosts the ego.
A small incident:-
I with my Innova was in the market.Came a guy and after some minor talk said "my car is newer than yours"...and my reply was simple "No,I am owning an Innova before you did".[:D]

So far my list includes (including some future models) :-

1) Ford Endeavour 2012( based on the new ranger)
2) Toyota Fortuner
3) Pajero Sport
4) Ford Eco Sport ( though not in the above class, it is looking tempting , so there is a low chance i might go for it )
5) Hyundai Santa Fe 2013( the upcoming one)

I am in no hurry, so will decide by end of this year

Very nice review. I completely agree with views.

BTW, I bought Civic on the day it was launched (got the delivery after one month) in July/August 2006.

I have driven 67000 kms so far and it still feels new. :)
Ohh another civic owner on the forum, welcome !!
Mine is some October 2006 and done some 77k, hows your experience so far ?

Yes the the civic design and feel is forever new, i can see a civic grin in you too!! Share more details pls and photos too!

crv will come around 26 lakhs and that too petrol and not diesel , not the best option , you should wait for the santa fe instead [;)]
Heard somewhere they are bringing on the iCTDI version in india as well..

Thanks.

My experience has been good. Just the hydraulic engine mounting has been changed thrice. Once at around 21k (under warranty) then at 37k and recent one at 61k. The last one I got outside H.A.S.S.

Other than that nothing unusual, just routine service/oil change. [clap]

Civic engine mounts are notorious , even i had to change once but mine seem to lasting more than yours. How much did you buy them for ?

In any case its a small price to pay from an overall maintenance perspective.

Completely agree. I paid 4500+350 for the 3rd one outside H.A.S.S.

I think u heard it right Iron Rock, as when last month i took the my city for servicing, the honda S.A. told me that CRV is coming in Diesel in the year end.
its a long time coming now, i think the ictdi is already introduced in the US , though there wont be much diesel buyers in the US. Not sure if any American friends on this forum have driven it ? but i even hear it does not have a third row which is a bummer in india!
