Definately there is value here for family with 4 adults and 2 -3 children. They have shown that a 7 seater can be built and delivered under 4 L. First innova came with 12-14L price, then ertiga with 7 L price tag this surely beats it. Villages will have a lot of takers for this

Nissan already told that they are not targeting taxi segment. They says it may "kill" the brand!
Hari, Even Maruti at one point when Ertiga had launched in April2012 had said, it won't be eyeing commercial segment. But, reality we all know buddy. So these are just temporary lines. Frankly, which brand shall mind selling its vehicle in good volumes?

But I feel that Datsun not able to grab the attention of personal car buyers their volumes are very less they need to provide diesel option if they launch Datsun go with 1.5DCI motor it will be a most affordable diesel car around under 5lacks [clap]

My take is that it will be well suited for school van category. As last row can be very well utilized for lower primary kids. This thought crossed my mind as soon as I saw picture posted by our Captain [;)]

I personally feel that if Datsun go+ will launch with Renault 1.5L k9k diesel engine then it will be good option for fleet operators
I thought the same friend, if this becomes a dud, then its wise to release it in diesel, practically no family buyers will go for this unless and until they have the need obviously, but ever this comes in the diesel guise, I'm sure that everybody will start booking it!

I wondered why Datsun positioned this car as MPV 3rd is useless feature it's not safe for kids too Datsun should consider 3rd row seat as an option because for some buyers 3rd will be a waste if money for those who use this 3rd row as a luggage compartment

I think Go+ can be useful for door to door business man.It can also be used in rural areas as people carrier to replace Trax, minidor etc

This rear seat issue isn't acceptable from every nook and corner and by everyone, and come on, Shouldn't treat kids so harsh by dumping them in the back, they are creation of your own and you shouldn't be punishing them by the means of backseat!!! And come on fyi kids these days are evolved so much that they are good in sitting in the front seat tactfully.

Which is why it was mentioned that this vehicle is actually a station wagon, whereas our marketing team in Nissan or Datsun or whatever to wrap it up and sell it in India released with the term 7 seater.

While it can be used only as a taxi

@ GB Reddy Go+ is only available in petrol diesel variant is not at all an option. so getting in the taxi segment is highly impossible plus given the service records of Nissan. No cabbie would go for go+. however for 5 people and and lots of luggage space. I think it fits the bill. However the wheels which are 13" don't boost confidence in road grip.
