Are there any restrictions on travelling by private car between states? I have to drive from Mumbai to Bangalore - cant avoid the journey. Wanted to be aware of any restrictions.

Haven't read any such restrictions for travelling within India, but there will be checking points in various places enroute. Do not travel on Sunday as PM, Modi asked people to abide by a 'Janata Curfew' on Sunday, March 22. He asked all Indians to stay in their homes from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on that day.

All train services have been suspended from 00:00 to 22:00 hours on March 22. This means that there will be no/bare minimum train services from 12 am to 10 pm on Sunday, March 22. The 'Janata Curfew' is due to be held on the same day.
