@music_swift and @krishnavamshi24 i got discount in facelift version and not the old version. with cruise control. in gujarat on road price is 12.38 lacs with 3rd and 4th year warranty. you will get loyalty bonus 20000 and exchange bonus 10000 further negotiate for waiver of handling charges and accessories. for insurance they will ask for 48000 negotiate and bring down to 34000 (with zero dep. cover) overall it will be a discount of 64000. they also offer 9.99 % loan but because of prepayment charges didnt applied there and got car loan from sbi at 10.15%

for old vento there offer was 70000 discount plus loyalty and exchange but since i was not interested in old model so didnt bargain.
Getting ₹40,000 discounts as exchange and loyalty bonus on new Vento. We have decided to exchange our present Vento for new one as old one has done 80K Kms and don't want to continue with the car which had met with accident. We are getting about ₹6.5-7L on old one from VW people and they may add another ₹40K as exchange and loyalty bonus.

I'm getting about ₹6L-7L from VW people and exchange bonus will be added into old Vento's selling price. We have decided to go for manual as DSG is ₹1.5L more than Manual. This time we may go for White or Grey colour Highline again.

sold my black vento few days back. reason? fuel injectors malfunctioned four times in 3 and a half years of ownership.
If that was your reason for selling, why are you buying another Vento?

If I were you,get Vento again but with DSG box.
Or the Rapid DSG

That Rapid won't come to India anytime,
True

Congrats on booking the new Vento. I'm sure it is a reliable car just like it's sibling the Rapid. Both are identical except for the nose, bootlid and steering wheel.

@music_swift congratulations in advance. i have also booked candy white highline. did they offered any discount including loyalty and exchange bonus on automatic vento?

@p3t3r
1. the reason for choosing vento again is the build quality. rapid is equally good as far as build quality is concerned but v.v. poor A.S.S. is the reason i didnt even considered rapid as an option. i already had a bad experience with skoda in this regard. further if i would have faced the same problem in rapid instead of vento my car would have been in skoda workshop for months each time as they do not have spare parts in stock most of the times. whereas in volkswagen it is not so. they make sure they do not run out of stock of the spares most of the time.

the looks really matters and vento looks way more beautiful and premium as compared to rapid.

at the price i paid for vento highline manual i would have got rapid dsg top model because of the discounts and attractive schemes.

i also considered comfortline vento dsg but still it was expensive by around 85k then manual highline vento and also i did not liked the all black interior.

Thanks in advance Ashish sir. No,they are not offering any discounts on DSG.That is the reason we are going for manual Vento again whereas DSG would cost ₹1.5L more than manual. Will tell the details after we get the car evaluated from VW people and will manage some discount from them.BTW,I have created relationships with VW service people and no issues with VW service till now.

I admit it,Vento is far far better than Rapid when it comes to richness in interiors and looks and VW service is way better than Skoda in Hyderabad.

@music_swift i will miss dsg this time. had to go for manual because of huge price difference and lack of discount. vw service people are really nice and helpful. they did there best for my old vento and i was given priority everytime i visited the showroom for service or for regular check ups and washing under a.m.c.

The other choice we are considering is Polo GT TSI.But,we will miss the comfort of the sedan.Vento TSI HL costs ₹12.8L in our place whereas Polo GT costs ₹10L with no discounts on both vehicles. And,we are also in the need for second car at home whereas Vento will be first car.We had considered Ecosport,Creta,XUV and hatches. But,my dad is smitten with SUV's.

@music_swift buying a new car is confusing now a days [;)] because of the options available in market and also you have to consider the choice of family members. all the cars you mentioned are great. i liked the creta and was considering to buy but felt its overpriced and also the waiting period is long.
