Hi bnagasekhar, Yes, i think the URL you've given refers to the same product but the HU mould is not compatible with Ertiga/Swift Model. Pl check before buying.

Dear Minubasil, i got this unit in Japan and gave it to Mahi. i have posted the details of fixing this and other accessories for my Ertiga and shop details to Mahii. this can be fixed like piece of cake at Konark Jaya Nagar. (a guy name Siddu can do this easily). Hi Starpp, please calrify the following:

1: The cost of HU
2: Is there any refund on the Original HU from ZDI.
3: Any affect on warranty?
4: I already have Reverse Parking Camera worth 10K and planning to buy GPS Navigation system with bluetooth. So please suggest , which option will be better:
a) Get a HU as you have got it
b) Get the GPS Navigation System only as I already have Reverse parking Camera and use the existing HU .

DVD: The DVD plays really well and the picture quality is superb. I always have one or the other DVD put in and during the boring traffic signals I just put it on and forget the stress levels. Here is my fav Jagjit Singh Live Concert DVD Playing and its picture.

V-CDC: As you can see below, I think I can store upto 6 CDs into its in built memory and that you can change the tracks by pressing those 6 CD changer icons. So, far I've not tried to upload any CD's into the units' in built memory. Need to explore this option further.

USB: This is a boon. You can store anything on a USB Stick and you throw anything at it and it plays. But it failed to play MP4 as it says CODECS are not available. I dont know how to add CODECS and its drivers into the HU which runs on Windows CE 6.0 Operating System.

One caution here though. If you format your USB using NTFS then it will NOT detect the USB Stick. So, you have to mandatorily format the USB stick using either FAT or FAT32 setting and it detects all types of USB sticks. I remember many threads running wherein people were saying that their USB sticks are NOT recognized.

Also, please note that it can detect USB drives upto 32GB.

Picture below shows the extensions of the HU which can be connected to IPOD, USB Stick and Internet Datacard (for accesssing Internet from HU)

The picture below shows a different Live In Concert of Jagjit Singh playing from the USB. Since this is a VCD, the clarity of the original picture itself isn't great. But it has very crisp sound quality though.

SD CARD There are two SD Card slots in the HU.

The first one takes the iGO MyWay navigation software for maps. The second SD card which I took it out of my Blackberry showed all pictures and played all songs that I had saved on my BB.

Next to SD Card Slot, I also have small USB slot for which I have extension that came along with the set. I could connect another USB to this extension to play all audio and video formats.

I'm spoiled with so many options, is n't it ?

Now the TV: Due to non availability of TV Antenna here in SP Road and at many places where I checked, I've not been able to use this feature. Once I am successful in getting the correct TV Antenna extension to this HU, will post those pictures. Currently all that I could do is scan for frequencies in PAL and NTSC settings and hear a hissing sound as its not able to capture the free to air signals.

The Humble Radio: The only qualm I have is when I hit the next button on my steering wheel, instead of switching to next channel, it starts scanning for the next channel and takes quite a while to tune to next station. I need to figure it out if has option to switch to next channel without scanning. There are sooo many setting that one will go mad with the options this HU offers you.

The beautiful bluetooth: This is absolutely handy to make/receive calls when you are driving and you can control all aspects from the HU like connect, disconnect, mute etc. You can also dial the new numbers from the HU itself.



Pairing with the mobile is a breeze, works like a charm. You can connect multiple mobiles with this head unit and when you start your car, it automatically connects to your mobile if it has BT switched on. (thanks to autoconnect feature). I'm yet to sync the phone contacts with HU so that I get the name of the person calling rather than mere phone number and now I still need to look at phone screen to see who is calling. Yet to explore this option but its very much supported which is a great feature.




The microphone (came along with HU) is placed on the pillar close to a place where voice can be heard easily. But I've often heard people complaining that they cant hear me when I'm using the in car blue tooth and using this microphone. May be I have to change the position of the microphone !



When paired, you can play the songs on your mobile and it plays beatifully on your HU with music blasting from your cars speakers. During this the HU reads "Audio Play" to indicate that its playing the songs from bluetooth source.
