i just want to confirm that where is the normal level of engine oil in vista tdi between tow dots or up to second dot
You may need to wait til someone comes up with the info specific to vista tdi. Generally those dots indicates the min max points. So anything in between is fine and to be on the safer side make sure its almost closer to the max point.

There is nothing like dots in oil dip stick.
But as you said the level is in between its ok to drive. But you need to top it up till above level .
As in picture you need to top it up till the flat surface ends.

After topping up, drive car for 100kms. And after stopping car for 15mins . chk the level, if its low
Take to service center

The best way to check your oil level is, when the engine is in cold condition. Check your oil level in the morning. Anything between half to max is ok.
Take 2 to 3 picture of your oil level insert, so that we can have a idea about it.

Hi guys can someone recommend me a good fully synth oil for my skoda rapid 1.6 cr ?

the manual says vw507 spec which is mostly 5w30 ( will this be ok for our temp30 deg plus ? )'

The A.S.S supplies castrol magnatec pro b5 5w40 which is vw505 spec.

I've also read online that vw505.01 and vw507 is the correct spec.

all this just confuses the mind more so turning to the experts..

So please suggest something .

Waiting for your suggestions and reasoning's :)

Sorry about the short message, but I'm on a bit of a tight schedule today.

Castrol Magnatec Professional is the one they buy in Bulk and is actually just cheap oil in disguise, don't go for it.

Due to regional differences, your manual would probably be the best bet. 5W30 is a suitable oil for those temperatures, I've personally been using it for a while! Castrol Magnatec 5W30 is awesome stuff.

But I see your car is modified, that may also be a factor to consider when choosing your oil.

Well, depending on the type/quality of oil you use, it can be anywhere between 8k and 15k km. What oil were you looking at?

Really, the easiest way to make sure it's been changed is to watch it being changed or change it yourself. It's a little canister near the oil sump that looks something like this: http://marinhhw.com/mobius_cms/mhhw-content/uploads/oil_filters_a.png

If you locate it yourself you could probably but a mark on the old one and check after servicing to make sure it's been changed.

Yes, the oil sump is under the engine block, which is behind the bumper. You'll have to find the precise location yourself though!

Sounds good! For my own knowledge, can you let me know the results you get from this oil?

Is Petronas 4T oil good?
It is very cheap and I found some positive reviews about it.

Petronas makes some very good oil's. Many people i know are very fond of it . The only problem is sourcing the product. It's one of the leading manufacturers with it's own oil rig in Malaysia.
