saw a car parked outside Chevrolet dealer with completely different tail style first i thought it is ford figo but badge was Chevrolet quickly searched on internet and found it was sail

The Autocar India review looks good somewhat, but I have some observations

I doubt on its GC looking at the pics !! will it be like Figo again

The rear door design looks similar to Beat. I always felt the old model Sail & UV-A were good !!

Is this has the same Fiat engine like Punto,Ritz,Vista ??

Yes i felt the same on Figo's part.
It has the same Fiat engine like you have mentioned.

thats a nice car. looks pretty good. will definitely go for a test drive. do you know what is the price for this one? & is it in petrol or diesel?

Hope that the SAIC relationship of sail does not hurt the car. some what chineese like image will surely hurt the image of the car. [some thing like nano which is marketed as the cheapest car or it was assumed to be]

GC of the diesel model is 168mm which is same as the Figo. To me look-wise at least, it seems very bland design. Its ok and functional but nothing that tugs your heart. Design wise I would prefer Figo over this.
Also feature wise, there is nothing special. The problem with GM is how they price this. Have to price it higher than Beat, but then it would be in Figo territory.
Given the Chinese link, I guess most people would pick the Figo anyday. Putting it in the same bracket as i20 (as suggested by others) would be pure hara-kiri.

Chevrolet Sail-UVA launched

Chevrolet India has launched the much awaited hatchback Sail-UVA at starting price of Rs. 4.44 lacs for the petrol variant and Rs. 5.87 lacs for the diesel variant (All prices Ex.showroom Delhi).
The engine options include:

  • 1.3L Turbocharged Diesel which is sourced from Fiat.
  • 1.2L SMARTECH Petrol engine
