Friends,
I had a chance to TD Chevy Sail UVA hatch diesel today where my neighbor is Chevy workshop so they put up a small sales camp today.
- It looks really awesome and has good space
- Excellent interiors with good integrated music system
- has tilt steering adjustments, good dash
- Ac performance is really excellent, gear shift is very tiny and short
- I have to appreciate something really is its suspension, its awesome ride quality
- Pick is good and braking is also good with ABS
- Power windows performance, split seat at rear and good boot space.
- Looks from outside were really impressive and I liked a rear design
- Steering feel is good and a good turning radius too
- No problem at speed beakers at all.
- NVH levels were ok, as I am already used to this Fiat engine in Ritz.
- Low end torque found to be good, horn is also good.
Two things were put me in thinking was
1. Its metal sound while closing the door, its not like a good thud sound like other cars example, swift, Ritz. May be metal used is bit thin.
2. Driving seat was not offering complete thigh support, may be this is due to my long legs, I found the same problem in XUV,Figo too. But my Ritz is bit ok, may be because its high seating position and seat length and angle.
May be the above case is only experienced by a fellow having little long legs(not tall overall), but for others this may not be a problem.
On the whole it offers a mouth watering 3 years warranty overall and 5 year warranty on engine. They said this is only the initial offer on engine later on it may change.
The base level diesel OTR in Hyderabad is 7.03L which has everything what we generally require.
The sedan base level is at 7.4 L OTR Hyderabad
Overall I am satisfied with it and suggest to prospective buyer as very good hatch back in that segment with such Chevy assurance on warranty. Mileage quoted was 21km/ltr in standard test conditions and reported by owners was 18km/ltr in city.
