@Satya

Its ok buddy, if you come back by 10th then we will catch up as I will start back to Hyderabad on 10th evening. Look forward to meet you.

What impressed me in your decision is that you have not gone behind that so called "Herd" of most of the Indian buyers and your selection was based on your requirements and things offered by this beautiful Sedan, if you would have checked the "sales numbers" then it would have shown you less, but I am much impressed with its suspension which is really awesome buddy !! and Congrats for a sensible buy

Dont think over much about Linea, atleast you got the heart of it, which better tuned in Chevvy.

@Satya - congratulations! I also own a Sail LT ABS and was thinking about purchasing art. leather seats. I think you have purchased the chevy 'official' seat covers - they look neat!

My car completed 1000 km recently and I'm quite happy with the performance except for a small problem - there was a squeaky sound coming from one door panel and a minor glass rattle noise coming on uneven road. I got the squeaky sound fixed in the first service (though it required little follow up as the servicing guys couldn't figure out the origin of the sound) but the glass rattle still persists. Though it is very minor sound, I'm little surprised that it came up so early in the life cycle.

I also noticed that the suspension of the car makes a squeaky sound while going over a hump (audible only in silent environment when the window is rolled down). The servicing guy says this is 'normal'. But I never heard such sound in my Santro. Do you also hear such sound in your car as well?

sailing in a White Sail LS ABS .

previous cars owned
Ambassodar,Premier padmini,Maruti esteem,Opel corsa,Chevy tavera,Tata Manza in India and BMW 528i in USA.
all the above are diesel cars.

biggest pie in decision making is niggle free experience with chevy brand and do not want a
sub 4 meter car.

quick review:
These are the differences i have found between seeing car in photos and in real.
1.I have changed my opinion about steering after seeing it in real.
it is cute little light steering and never felt bland as it does not have the hard plastics.
2. Dash board design again, i like it very much and the design compensates the hard plactics
used. and also i am enjoying blue thooth songs feature is awesome.playing songs from
my friends mobile phones in the back seat
3. I am not feeling tired after long travel time in the city because of the light steering, light
clutch,slick gear shifts.
4. I am totally satisfied with the quality of materials used as every thing is packed neatly
including engine bay.
5. Diesel engine felt butter smooth.and gear shits are sleek.(i am quite liking).NVH controls are superb.
6. Driving Sail after manza felt like driving a BMW after a pickup truck.
7. Even though manza has more power i used to have hard time at speed brakers to be in second gear where as sail is like a cold breeze no matter which ever gear you are in.

One of the reasons i and my father decided to choose a chevy again is because of our niggle free experiance with chevy tavera and also bad experice of owing a manza.my father was really impressive with chevy that he does not want to wait for the honda amaze and he said he wants bigger car.

Hi Shiva,

Welcome to The Automotive India. Many congratulations for your Sail Sedan. Please feel free to start up a new thread in this thread. In case you require any assistance, please feel free to contact us.

BTW Sail looks really awesome in white color. Black alloys would surely turn your car into a headturner of the town.

Congrats for your new Sail. Its the no-nonsense good looking practical vehicle in the market now!

Plus, loved your writing review & the photos. Didn't feel like it was biased at all. Keep up the good work. And the first pic made me think whether it was chevrolet's official advertisement pic.
