Why do you say so Aditya?? Any bad reviews on the 135LS which you have come across??
I am in no way doubting that the 135LS is a great bike, but I have my doubts regarding it being a "Pulsar".
For me, the Pulsar has always been this big macho bike, and when you hear a review calling a "Pulsar" nimble and sleek, you wonder if it should have been a Pulsar in the first place.
I have had my say on this in another thread!!

Yup, Pune too.
Had made a biking trip to a country resort, and parked right between two Audi A6s, there were also a couple of Beemers in the lot.
The drivers of the Audi's were giving us dirty looks!!

Auto sales cross record 11 lakh units in January
The Indian auto industry today reported the highest ever sales in a single month at over 11 lakh units in January.

According to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the total sales in domestic market stood at 11,14,157 units, against 7,68,698 units in the year-ago period, a jump of 44.94 per cent.

"This is the highest ever sales by the auto industry ... economic growth, reduced interest rates and better money supply has helped the industry in posting such growth," SIAM Director General Dilip Chenoy told reporters here.

The earlier highest sales by the industry was in October, 2006, at 10,17,198 units.

Excise worries put Feb car sales in top gear
Consumer mindset had transformed in the past two decades of economic reform, from stocking up to avoid higher prices, to deferring purchases in February hoping for lower prices in March. That is showing signs of reversal, at least for this year. They are lining up to beat a likely 4 percentage point raise in excise duty on cars. Sale of Maruti Swift, Honda City, Fiat’s Grande Punto[thumbsup], and Toyota Innova are brisk in an otherwise slow month.

“We see a lot of advancing of purchases this month, both among individuals and corporates,” said Mohan Mariwala, who runs Honda and Mercedes dealerships.

“This time, customers fear that the excise duties will go up leading to price hikes,” he said. Companies and consumers, when they buy in March, benefit from lower prices and depreciation benefits after tax rates are cut on the customary February 28 Budget. This is unlike the 70s and 80s when people used to hoard before the budget fearing higher tax rates when then the nation was still in the grips of Nehruvian socialism where taxes were raised year-after-year.

Oh this is really great! Even i too was in a notion that buying a car in March will result in lesser taxes but now seems like its getting reversed!! A jump of 44.98% is mainly due to the economic crisis last year which reported low sales last January!!

And RSM you surely must be happy!!

I suppose a shrunken base last year helps create this amazing number, but the rebound is really impressive.

But somehow I feel Linea sales are getting affected again.

I feel it started facing heat from City gain.

FIAT India should do something on the pricing to get back on track!

Hey RSM,

You are talking about % figures. But I am more concerned about he nos sold every month.

FIAT can still work on pricing to get the sales on track.

FIAT is still in its initial stage, they should compromise on pricing & build more reputation. Then they can come up with rivaling price tags!

More than the pricing, I think the reason is under powered engine. If they are going to make the 1.6 engine available only in the emotion Pk trim, then it will be another bad move from them. Instead they should have given the option to select the engine - just as they are doing worldwide. Then controlling the price tag will be a responsibility for the buyer. Now the situation is -- Nice car, nice features, under powered engine -- and this won't work for FAIT !
