Very true friends. I also got some figures in that ballpark. So, it could be anywhere near 20K in not more than 15 days.

Bookeb my Ecosport Trend diesel model on 29 june at king ford surat. The colour is mars red and as usual waiting period is 90 to 180 days. Lets see when i get it.

I don't think that testing was not done thoroughly, as the module in consideration here is located at the same place in the international variants of the ES.It is more likely that this aspect should be tested w.r.t Indian(homologation) conditions, which got missed.
Nevertheless, Ford India was quick to identify it and brave enough to admit that their barely 2 weeks old product requires a recall, unlike some manufacturers like Mahindra and Hyundai.

Its really surprising to see EcoSport Petrol almost equaling the bookings of Diesel. Atleast in our sample. This will put the Ford strategy of premium pricing the diesel and margin calculations in trouble.

Needless to say it will also put pressure on production scheudle. If I compare the June production numbers, they have negligible number of Petrol versions.

I've booked a Petrol AT on 4th June....I've already waited more than a month after my booking now.....not sure how long this wait is going to prolong.

Took my ES today! Wow what a car to drive ! Loving it.

Ha Ha . They are making cars at a brisker pace brother @rate of 6000 units min per month. So, dont worry max it will be 4 months for all who have booked till now. This is all some initial logistic issue I think. Most probably ..
