Given that our perfume refils are costlier (app Rs 200/- for ambipur), I made a DIY kind of stuff which worked out to be cheaper for me :

For my ES, I was using the perfume that came with vehicle. When the perfume box became empty, I got a glade gel (lemon), took considerable amount of gel using a knife and filled in the perfume box again. The advantages :
1. Cheaper refill. (Glade is cheaper than original perfume refill that came with ES).
2. The gel sits in without any problem. The glade gel comes for about a month and is also cheaper at Rs 65/-/

For my other car, I took the ambipur empty bottle, and filled it with room air freshener and fitted back. This also worked well and I never had any bad smell inside the car and the room fragnance was also good.

Anushman, I think it is available in every nilgiris. Yesterday I got Lemon Glade for Rs.47 (recently for past 4 months am using only Glade, Every 45 days Rs.50)
I have not seen in Bangalore. Can you please bring one for me when you come for Pune tour. Lavender or Lemon flavor will be ok.

After going through this thread, I am going to try the Areon gel. Was using the Godrej aer, however I am not very pleased with its smell. Have tried different variants.

I am getting a good deal on ebay. Its costing Rs165 with discount[clap]
Original Areon CAR AIR Home Office GEL Based Perfume Freshener Wish | eBay
Cool. You got a 100 rs discount [surprise]
I too was looking at that deal , but the seller negative feedback mentioned one of them getting areon gel with the seal broken, So chose the tradus way.

Ordered the same from tradus for Rs.181.

Freakdude, that shows how keenly you watch every post. Good.

Two things.

  1. For me, i said it okie (not good) but i went for the same brand/type again since i got an opportunity to try difference on this time (lemon) (need to wait for some more days to get comments on it)
  2. I have just gave information about the product and its where-abouts to anushman since he asked for it and i have not recommended to him from my side.

Hope am not that contradictory to my own decisions

When i brought my new Grand i10, there was heavy smell of rubber and plastic in it. The research for car feshner started and i came across Glade Gel (Rs.47 in D'Mart [:)]).

i had placed it in one of the cup holder right below the parking brake lever. The smell is very faint but somehow it managed to kill plastic smell.
