The problem I found with myShaldan is that its fragrant for the first few days, then the smell drops off. The gel goes dry by remains in the box in a large lump. Once it gets to this point, there is no further smell
I still have a several month old lime and squash in my car. I put both the lumps in the same box to save space. The lump touches the top of the grille but there is no smell now and the lump remains as is in size

The perfume should not be uncovered fully. I have placed a tape over the gel and left a small opening for diffusion. Now the smell is not very strong and the gel lasts a bit longer.

Hello everyone,
I work with a leading FMCG company that is looking to develop a new car air freshener for the Indian market. If you could please provide your valuable inputs for the same below, it would help us design a product that would be appropriate for car enthusiasts! [:)]

My Shaldan is by far the best car perfume which I have ever used, specially the Lime and Squash flavors. My brother uses Dr Marcus in his car and I have seen many using it happily but I feel Dr Marcus perfumes to be a little strong.

It's been over a month since I'm using the lemon fresh fragrance by this brand in my new Alto K10, and I must say the fragrance is just right. Not very strong, but just enough to keep the cabin lemony fresh :D I keep in in one of the cup holder under the ICE.

I bought it from D-Mart (popular supermarket here in Mumbai) M.R.P is 75 rupees but the store price was 60 rupees for 70gms jar. Should at least last over 2 months as the jar is half empty now after 5 weeks.

For those who spend big bucks on car perfumes, must try this if gel based fragrances are something you are looking out for :)

Xiaomi launches car air freshener with fragrance extracted from plants

Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform Youpin has launched a new product, but this time it is not for your home instead it is meant for your car. The platform has listed ‘car air vent aromatherapy’ for RMB 59 (approximately Rs 600). The product is essentially an air freshener for your car’s AC vent with fragrance extracted from plants.

I have been using Odonil Zipper Pack since past few months. It does the job and is also not too costly. I would say that it works better than some of the others which are much more costly.

I am using this glade gel from last 3 years. Nice fragrance in car. I am big fan of there Blue Gel which now not getting here in any of the supermarkets. They all keep combo of 4 with lemon and that pink one.

Initially Dmart at our end use to keep it but now from last couple of months they don't have stock. I get this in Star Bazaar[:)]

I recently found bath and body works car perfume.
I think it's the best perfume I have used till date.
Lots of fragnances and the best is "sweet pea"

You have to buy holder as well which is expensive but not on sale. You can buy the holder in 200-250rs (600-900MRP)during sale and the perfume for as low as 140rs(349 MRP)
But not every fragnance is available during sale
.
Clip on for the sunvisor and another type is clip on for the AC vent.

Scroll down in this link to see the available holders and fragnance but do buy them in sale. They have one every 2-3 months.

I had stopped using car perfumes, since hearing different health issues from forums. Personally I use perfumes, so that gets recirculated onto the car also. If car smells of my sweat or so if I drive after a sulky day/the floor mats gets wet and produces dampness, what I do is keep one tablet of camphor under the floor mat. Overnight, the smell will turn to a normal state.
