incredibly smooth and quiet (based on the drive so far where I was in the passenger seat and my expert driver friend was driving) 100+ kms done in one day
Sumo GOLD's ground clearance is 190mm,while Bolero's is 180 mm.If Tata can add a 4x4 variant of GOLD,it will definitely move up the brand in higher sphere as far as aspirational value is concerned,IMO.

Currently M&M is not offering Bolero 4x4 in CRDe avatar, my guess is after Bolero gets released in 4x4 option, then Tata would do the same for its Sumo.
Sales will be decent though much takers for Sumo are cabbies, but enthusiasts like us would prefer it coming.
The back seat comfort is considerable in Sumo Gold, 3 people can sit comfortably which i did not see it in Bolero(my cousin had one for a month), the thigh support and cushion is just the way i like it.
@Brijishpillai, please do share and ownership review of your gold.
Now we have the confirmation that Bolero going to become all new in 2015. This is an alarm for TML IMHO. They must also start to develop a new sumo to stay in the hunt. By that time small suv/muv may gain more popularity. If that is the case I don't know whether this Bolero development is valid? But if there is a market for entry level muvs Bolero will again shadow the abilities of Sumo unless Tata comes with a new strategy..
I think the Sumo is quite a reliable vehicle. Infact, it is one of the most reliable vehicles TATA has every produced. With the GOLD, they have only upped the bar.
The Sumo may never sell as much as the Bolero and there are many reasons for that. But now when we know that the all new Bolero is coming, TATA needs to act fast or say good bye to the UV segment.
Love and aggression sometimes go hand in hand.. Isn't it
Come on Tata.. everyone needs you to be there in the business as a major player giving tough competition..
Whether bringing Pawan Goenka of M&M to the board will help??
