No no sir, it is just a pic and it is of Rover not Sumo[:)]

Try and have some nice alloys to your Sumo something like in my Avatar which looks great
OEM alloys cost around 25-30 for the whole set, I may upgrade in the future as I would also like to go for tubeless, as of now I am only going to get some bare minimum work done (cost control :) )

then maybe add a thunder bull bar

TATA Service,

There was a minor depression on the front bumper of the car and on one of the edges there was a bit of duct tape wedged

I collected the car yesterday and had taken pictures of these two issues, the dealer offered to fix it immediately (which meant delivery would be delayed as I am going out of town tomorrow) or to get it fixed at first service (i took this option in writing)

to be on the safe side, I sent the pictures of the issues to tata customer care email address at 1:52 PM today

I got a read receipt from their email server at 2:08 PM today

I just got a call from the sales guy (3:52 PM) asking me if I had spoken to their MD (the dealer MD), which I had not

apparently TATA seems to have escalated these issues directly to the dealer MD who spoke to the salesperson and asked him to tell me to get the car anytime I am free and they will fix the issue on the spot

2 hours action time, pretty decent dont you think?[clap]

now when I come back from out of town I will take the car and post details on the resolution that will be done to address my issue

regards,
Brijesh

[surprise] Turn around time to act upon your issue is so negligible. Have Karl Slym really tightened the screws on dealers. [clap]. I am really happy to see that TATA are working hard on their A$$ side.

That looks to be very faster and surprise response from TATA, but leaving the response a side, how come such things happen with a brand new vehicle, what TATA inspection is doing there, to me this is totally ridicules man, I would have made the dealer MD to come and talk to me for such things[anger]

yep bridgestone

not sure about bolero tyres as the brochure does not indicate if it is tubeless or radial, but tyre size for both vehicles are the same

Nice pictures Brijesh. Though I have driven Gold for long distances several times I have not observed it so minutely as your pictures reveals ! It seems that Gold has borrowed several aspects in it's design from Landrover Defendor.Certainly it's design is different than the earlier AVATARS of Sumo .I am sure this car will never disappoint you in all aspects. It's overall design is more India specific than the other high end SUVs which would cost more than double the cost of Gold. Though it has a leaf spring suspension in the rear , the overall ride quality is comparable with SUVs with rear coil spring suspension. I suggest you never to exceed speed of 120 km/hr . It is very risky to drive this beast above that speed.
