Mount centre to mount centre approximate 29 cm with bike on centre stand. Width at top mount approx 4 cm and swing-arm mount approx 5 cm.
hmm. that's pretty much same as fz25. so it will fit. thanks for your help sir. now i can happily make the changes.

If so, cross-check with FZ v3 part number also. I doubt FZ25 and V3 shares parts.

that's the first thing i did. part numbers are different and so is softness.

So after doing barely 1500KMs in last 5 years, my FZ is now my primary commuter once again. clocking close to 1800 per month now. My daily commute of 42KMs has ~36KMs of highway, plus a trip to hometown ~600KMs on highway. I'd like to install aux lights but confused about location, Don't want to install them on leg guard as throw would be messed up, lights being installed so low. Suggestions will be appreciated.
@deville_56 : I read thru your thread but didn't find your detailed feedback on 15T front sprocket. Considering my highway usage, I'd love to switch to 15T if improvements are worth it.
My current 14T, 140/60 profile rear tyre gives me 80-82kmph @6000 RPM. What speed does your bike do @6000rpm ? Any FE improvement on highways? I get 34kpl if ridden at 90-94 (engine feels stressed and FE goes significantly down)

I had them installed on the headlamp level adjustment bolt with a couple of clamps. Another option is mirror holder. Some rigid clamps below the mirror can hold them without vibration.
My fog lamp installation.
15T was okay with 140/60 but very sluggish with 140/70, so reverted to stock. It improved the cruisability a lot for the 140/60. Forgot the speeds, been a long time. I remember it did 58 kmph instead of 56 kmph.

Try polishing. Most of the time it would be heavy oxidation over paint.
I tried it, but doesn't change anything. Which wax you are using bro. This had happened because I kept my bike under sun, whole day for 2 yrs, out side my office, as I have no other option. So the right side got little more faded as compared to other side especially the tank piece. But your bikes parts seems to be in mint condition still now, that's why I asked.

I use Meguair's. Check with some detailing shop. They know whether the original paint can be restored. Cutting + polishing + sealant would do the job.
For painting, IMO it's better to be done at some paint shop for neat finish. DIY painting is a tedious process on body panels and won't get the desired finish with aerosol cans.
For DIY painting, prep the surface with some 1500-2000 grit water paper and clean with some solvent like IP alcohol and then spray using aerosol can and then clear coat. Lot of DIY videos on YouTube.

July 2020 - New front tyre - Pirelli Angel CT 110/70-17
Finally, the tyre sees light after sitting under bed since February 2020.
Docked and wheel removed.
Outgoing Pirelli Diablo Rosso II 110/70R17.
It's a great tyre. Held well in the heaviest of rain, never skidded. Lasted 29.6k km over 2 years 8 months.
Old vs new. Angel looks beefier than Diablo. Took it to tyre shop on Dio. It was a risky deal holding the tyre with legs. Won't do again. Was lazy to take out the car.
Job of Royale Yamaha. Either point-blank pressure wash or manhandling.
Prepping for paint.
Popped up the fork dust covers for the ease of masking.
Found one of the circlips rusted.
Sanded.
Primed. Lately seeing primer reacting with old paint, which wasn't the case all these years. Both primer and old paint were Bosny.
Painted metallic black and finished in same Matt finish.
New wheel collar. Again sitting in shelf for over a year.

Installed.

October 2020 - Worst days of my Boy
Things weren't going well after the bike was serviced at Royale Yamaha. Issues were popping up one by one (as mentioned in previous posts). Since bike was rarely used, nothing major turned up. Fixed most of them myself. Then, brother came and swapped with Duke for some office runs and the real issues surfaced. There was some issue with adjustment of the clutch, which we didn't bother at first. but on highway there was clutch slipping. Fourth and fifth behaved like neutral and third was kind of started showing the issue. Thinking it was some adjustment issues, removed the boot to adjust and one of the worst moment in my life. Such morons removed the adjuster lock as they have tightened the clutch inside the case beyond the limit and no way they can loosen it without opening the engine case. Never seen such bad mechanics in my life. No work ethics or quality of work.
Clutch is now at the lowest possible setting and still the clutch is engaged full time.
And cherry on pie, battery conked off right in time. Push started the bike and took it to the KR Motors. Initial assessment per him, the clutch assembly was not properly installed and the whole thing is damaged.
Coming to Royale Yamaha, it "was" one of the decent garages in Trivandrum exclusively for Yamahas, run by a very skilled guy and a crooked partner. The former guy was SA for many Yamaha ASCs. That garage is fully equipped with lift and modern tools. We patronized him very much during his initial days. Feedback from our referrals became bad day by day. The former guy is nowhere to be seen now and the crooked latter guy runs the shop. Now, they are not even good for oil changes. Period.
List of issues from the so far:
Misfit/damaged/missing parts.
Oil leak from every possible place.
No drain bolt crush washer.
Worse than sunflower oil quality oil.
Painting damage due to washing.
Choke cable found removed.
Umpteen bolts loose or missing.
Shitty wash.
Overall, it felt like purposefully done so that I bring back to them for more work.
All these at the cost of ₹ 5161.00.

Just curious - why are you going to a dealership when there are good non dealer options available?
Never mind, saw you went to KR motors finally. I wonder when people go to dealerships when KR is available. My dad once took his bike to a dealership nearby after 20 years of going to KR (he was feeling too old to ride to KR) but the experience left such a bad taste that he continued to go back to KR.
You have my vote for KR - my Dad has been his customer since the late 80's until he had to give up riding very recently due to failing health. They took care of his first 2 bikes (RX100 and Crux). The third bike (SZ-RR) was sold in a few months of buying due to his health and never saw a workshop

This is a FNG, not dealership. Two dealerships were there just a kilometer away from this guy. Bike was stranded due to drive axle issue and was taken there in a pickup (10 km ride). He was the nearest from the breakdown spot and the dealerships nearby weren't so good, so chose him over the dealerships, but now feeling dealers would've done a 100% better job. Or I should've transported to the current guy, who is another 10+ km away from there.
