dad needed a touch screen phone and hence have given him a basic android samsung galaxy mini or pop/fit. (forgot the name since it has a custom firmware)
he has his own needs and would not bear i tinkering with the settings of the phone.
Regarding jugaad i can do that on many other platforms too which is not limited to android.
But it is limiting me on the windows platform.

And just to be clear this is not meant for loose talk or bragging rights. I know what i am capable of and what my limitations are.

Henceforth i wont be entertaining this topic since it is a grey area.

I just had look at windows app store on the link below:

Windows Phone (भारत)

There are lot on offer/free there. I am slowly and steadily being inclined towards the Lumia. [:D]. I have already seen Raja's mobile when we meet. And we all the camera quality of the same. So guys, be ready. You people might be surprised with review for Lumia anytime sooner. [:D]

P.S: Sorry LG Nexus 4. No hard feelings. [lol]

I have checked Lumia 610 in a store 2 days back and its operation looks very nice and its page loading time is impressive !! I am seriously looking at Lumia 620 launch in India. I am more inclined towards to Windows over Android due to the less battery usage by in built windows applications and free GPS[:)]

Yes wait for 620 it must launch soon. Btw here is pic taken from lumia 610, 5 megapixel camera . What ese one needs in 11,500 rs ? 8gb storage , free gps lifetime in almost all countries , nokia music free and all most all imps apps are there in the windows store .

But Gurralla as nitin suggested wait for windows 8 , its better to go for the latest .

What is free GPS? [confused]

And also while going through many reviews of Windows phone, it says that battery drains down in 5-6 hours. [surprise]. Actually shocked. I thought battery consumption was really less as compared to Androids.

When it comes to phones Nokia has always been more user centric than any other manufacturers unlike Android which is a kind of tech-centric.
Nokia have unique os for techies but distinction is so very clear with almost four independent and unique OS to entertain with. Viz symbian 60,symbian3,Maemo and now windows.
I always wonder while android being open source and free, doesnt reflect in final price of the product.

Turn by turn voice guided navigation free for lifetime for more then 100 countries .

Just enter the destination and the phone will guide you with voice till you reach your destination .

And it works offline means no Internet and mobile data required .

This is only available on nokia windows handset and not on any other windows handsets from samsung or htc .

The maps are available offline right??
Do we need to update the maps once in a while?

I on my home wifi downloaded the maps India , USA , entire Europe .

If there is update yes the phone will tell you .

And you right its available offline . Infact the phone will suggest you to off the Internet . I have used it countless times and is super accurate .

I think Superbad has it in his phone too .

Actually it should be Free maps.

Comparitively windows looks more efficient than android which few of my friends confirmed.
Cheaper entry level phones with 3 inch 320pix display and a dialer would have enough battery to run for a fortnight but that doesnt necessarily qualify as a 'smartpfone'

lumia with win 8 would be a terrific choice.
see i predicted it in 1450BC [lol]
wrt page loading, since currently you are using GPRS ( not even edge and leave aside 3g) any connection other than GPRS would load your page faster. so do not make page loading fast as the only criteria while choosing your next phone.
and pray 620 is priced economically by nokia else they will kill the phone before the launch in india.
