but the device was never pushed up.
On the other hand os like an android have a huge developer community backing.
Just check xda and see how much development happens on an android device.
Some of the famous developers were even offered job from manufacturers to help them polish up their product offerings.
Majorly all those developers force the manufacturers to incorporate new features along with their update.
The limitation for the end user being that you should be having a device which has a backing of a strong developer community.
If one finds such device, he will end up happy with his android.

On the other hand people who follow the herd mentality only to buy a cheap android just to be tagged a "smartphone user", their experience with an android would be nothing to talk about.
True, it is developer support.
Thanks to google and they cleverly marketed it tagged as 'open' and it was all in thier favour.

I have experience only with win 6 and was remarkably efficient but lacked apps ,Iam yet to experience new windows.
I dropped android an year ago due to some wiers reasons like
1.inconsistent power consuption
2,Google or some ghost will manipulate my apps or confirguration without my knowledge.(sure no virus) but i never felt secure for banking or personal details.
3.I still hate the ides of two gmail accounts connected in one phone,i.e alternate one for app store.

So as per you advance user is a tech nerd right ?
I do a lot of fiddelling with my phone yet I am not qualified to be called as advanced user.
I have seen some people downloading cracks and rooting the phone to get additional benefits but they can be a sort of advanced category.but there are some whom live with a SDK instead of pocket knife or wrist watch. They do amazing things.
One of my friend is a typical advance user. Who will go missing from society for 1 or 2 days while buzy at home making some apps or tweaking.

if a general user is a person using a smart phone to only post pictures, send sms and surf internet (mostly facebook) along with occasional calling then Sure every advanced user is a tech nerd.
