How much did you pay for it? If you did shell out a bit more, you could have got a much better phone, the 520!
Oops sorry, I indeed got the 520!

I had set out to buy the 610 but then after comparing both in the store, I picked the 520. I dont follow Nokia much and hence I got confused with the names.

I paid 8800/- for it.

That's a very nice phone at that price! My mother has a 720 and she's very happy on it. Congrats!

BTW you could have got it a little cheaper through online. NVM though.[;)]

NVM = never mind
screen of 610/620 is too small and the phone looks like a brick
520 is ok only if budget is a constrain. else no window phone is worth spending $$ on.

Micromax Canvas LapTab with Android, Windows 8.1 dual-boot revealed at CES 2014

Micromax, the popular Indian mobile and tablet brand, has started its CES 2014 campaign with the unveiling of the Canvas LapTab tablet.
The highlight feature of the Micromax Canvas LapTab tablet is its Android Jelly Bean and Windows 8.1 dual-boot functionality, however, the preceise Android version has not yet been revealed. As of now, the company has not revealed the pricing details of the Canvas LapTab tablet either. The company said the tablet device will go on sale in early February, with no region-specific details, though we assume India will be on the top of the list. The company has also introduced a wireless keyboard for the tablet.

The Micromax Canvas LapTab, first reported by Engadget, comes with 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. On the camera front, the tablet sports a 2-megapixel camera on both the rear and front panels. The tablet is powered by a 1.46GHz processor (unspecified cores, chipset) alongside 2GB of RAM. The Canvas LapTab also comes with 32GB built-in storage, with no word on expandable storage.

An earlier report had suggested that Micromax has been aiming at a global presence, with its upcoming high-end smartphones. The report revealed that in January, Micromax will start begin selling phones in Russia, followed by Romania, where competitors also include Samsung and Nokia.

The report also claimed that Micromax tried to tap the Brazilian and the Middle Eastern markets with basic phones, but did not manage to build scale and closed its operations.

Okay, so its been about two months since I am using the Lumia 720. I am pretty much satisfied with the performance, UI and the not-so-complex features.

+ves:
*Excellent Camera. I bet it can put 12 MP Cam of other brand phones to shame.
*Crisp display, excellent graphics during game play. Although I am not much into gaming these days, however, Asphalt runs great. No Lag.
*Butter smooth touch
*Apps in the Nokia store are more than sufficient for me. Unlike on OS like Android, millions of (Useless) applications, which I wouldn't have used in my entire life time

Cons:
*Cannot transfer/send music (songs) through WhatsApp or Bluetooth. (songs that I've downloaded from my laptop)
*Phone hangs, once in 15 days, may be I need to uninstall a few games, which I do not play, that should solve the issue (read somewhere in one of the gadget forum)
*Google maps is far better and accurate than Here Drive. Personal experience as I have used both.

You can send songs via Bluetooth and sending songs via whastapp would come in the near future.
Have you ever done a soft reset of your 720? Many times this would help with the hanging issue.
I have Here Maps+Drive brilliant specially because they can be used offline also.

PS - I bought a 920 as soon as it got launched in India and have personally made atleast 15 people switch to WP and thankfully they are are more or less happy. With WP 8.1 round the corner; WP will only go upwards from here. [:)]
