anyone who doesn't want luxury comforts can comfortably end up with this variant.

You don't have much difference between Mid(Comfortline) and Top(Highline) versions. The only features Highline gets are
1. 12 Way Electric Driver Seat
2. Touchscreen Audio
3. Cruise Control
Apart from these every other feature is standard across these 2 versions and i expect it to be same in the facelifted version also.

And the headlights too. People who want luxury features and some luxury feel go for highline. Otherwise Comfortline is VFM. Btw the auto variant was only available in the highline variant. Don't no about the facelifted one. Any idea? Volkswagen should offer automatic in their lower trims to have a spread of variants for buyers.

So there's no bump up in power as news were spreading before. So I guess just a cosmetic make over and features borrowed from Octy.

Pros
– No change in handling and performance, which is good
– Steering is impressive
– Interior quality is top notch
– Legroom and headroom is in plenty
– Massive road presence, sure eyeball turner
– Looks impressive
– Body control, handling are exemplary
Cons
– Engine sound seeps in the cabin, both petrol and diesel
– Turbo lag in diesel, petrol low end grunt is less
– Gear shift quality is not impressive, especially in diesel

The car looks Passat - like, tremendous road presence, the multi-function wheel from the Polo has been used on this facelifted car.The headlights merge even more seamlessly with the all-new taller grille.The Jetta's mid-level trim also comes with alloy wheels. The new tail-lights have a neat-looking wedge to the lower section.The surface of the rear is much cleaner and the new boot lid has a spoiler integrated into it.

VW has increased the ex-showroom, Delhi prices of the Jetta petrol by INR 49,000 (all variants) and of the Jetta diesel by INR 35,000 – 42,000 (different for different variants). The prices (ex-showroom) are as follows:
VW Jetta Trendline TSI MT – Rs. 13.70 lakh (increased by Rs. 49,000)

VW Jetta Comfortline TSI MT – Rs. 15.17 lakh (increased by Rs. 49,000)

Friends,

As I am following the launch of the new Jetta by VW, some interesting statements are being made by the VW Parent and the Indian chapter personnel. New Jetta is being targeted mainly for corporate buyers with an aim of attaining 10% of share of this segment. In this price band, people still are inclined towards SUV but very aptly replied by VW personnel that its like a room with 2 doors, one from which people enter and the one from which they exit. Though there has been a low in the segment but still its safe to invest in this segment here in India.

When asked for a comparison with Octavia, the VW gentleman, professionally replied, VW Jetta has its own class and comfort where as the Octavia too has built its own class over the years.

Any how, the new VW Jetta is a good looking car and the premium quotient has definitely increased in this face-lift.

Here is the exclusive 1st look review of the New VW Jetta for our T.A.I. The new Jetta has been launched on 17th Feb 2015 in two options i.e 1.4 L Tsi Petrol and the 2.0 L TDI. This is just an enthusiast's unofficial point of view on the car.

The model review by me is the TDI one with Automatic Transmission. The technical specs of the new VW Jetta are also mentioned below for your ready referral.

​

So, the first thing that shall catch your attention in the New Jetta will be the front grille that has been designed with Chrome inserts to enhance the premium feel of the car. Though there seems to be very little difference from the out-going one.

​

The next striking feature of the new Jetta is the Bi Xenon Headlamp with DRLs. The aesthetically designed headlamps with LED daytime running lights along with the fog lamps make the visibility during the night driving much more easier and adequately lights up the road ahead.

​

The front bumper with of the new Jetta lends it a masculine look and the sharp yet proportionate lines provide the aesthetic appeal to the front profile of the car. Thankfully this one did not have any unwanted chrome inserts on the front bumper. It ably houses the front parking sensors as well.

​

The External Rear View Mirror are electrically adjustable with integrated side indicators. Though what I feel is that with the present design of the outer rear view mirrors the viewing space has become a tad less.

​

The new VW Jetta also comes with tweaked yet stylish Tail lamps. The tail lamps are in 2 separate pieces and extend up to the boot.The new tail lamps of the Jetta definitely play an important role in accentuating the looks and profile of the car.
